Svesse (1811), Hässelby, Sweden Feb 26, 2008 (Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse, Stockholm, 25 Feb 2008) Black colour with creamy, pale brown colour. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, liquorice and vanilla. Roasted, malty taste with chocolate, ashes, liquorice, blueberries, vanilla, a hint of tar and a long, very smooth finish with balanced notes of coffee bitterness. Lovely porter with brilliant balance. The cask finish doesn’t dominate, it just gives a certain edge to an otherwise brilliant beer. Lovely!

Brilliant stuff. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 22, 2008 Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse 68, Stockholm. Really black with rich dense and creamy beige head. Roasty aroma with coffee, tobacco and a mild dash of whisky. Medium sweet with medium-full body. Wonderfully soft and mild. There’s chocolate and tar as well as careful noted of wood and whisky. Salty finish where some warming alcohol just seeps through. Beautifully balanced.
