Bottle @ Mondial de la Biere 2009
Appearance: very finely hazed, light amber look with mid light creamy fizzy top.
Nose: Mildly hoped , citric hints. Plain hop up front. Good but uninspiring.
Flavor/Palate : Medium bodied with full sides. Slightly chewy malts with straight hop finish. Grassy character. Mild back is long lasting.

Mondiale 2009. This one really hit the spot, and I have liked this brewery in the past. Some hop aroma. Very cloudy grapefruit colour, with white head, and leaving noticeable lace. Lots of white lace, carbonation is suitable. Good bitterness.

In short: A dry buiscuity ale with plenty of grassy/herbal hops. Not APA but
How: Bottle 50cl. Aged unknown, consumed a little past expiration date. Didn’t feel past due-date at all.
The look: Cloudy dirty orange body topped by a persistent medium white head
In long: The hoppy nose is leafy/floral with some orange peels and a little perfume note. Taste offers slightly toasted biscuity malts with plenty of hops. The hops that felt leafy/floral on the nose feel grassy/herbal and a bit spicy in the mouth. Additional flavour elements are wood chips/sawdust, dry orange peels, a little toasted nuts, distant caramel. The beer is overall very dry. An overall sensation of a dusty attic, this the opposite of a clean juicy beer. Medium bitterness, medium finish length. Body feels a bit fluffy. Carbonation is a lot of soft bubbles. A nice brew that really doesn’t feel like an APA at all. I don’t know why Nynäshamns calls it an APA nor do I know how they make their A wear a hat.

Bottle, 50cl - Hazy amber colored beer with a nice thick head. Aroma is malty sweet with very nice hints of oranges and floral hops. Flavor is sweet malty with notes of oranges and caramel. Good beer but not typical of the style, perhaps more like an American Bitter.

50 cl bottle from Bieropholie, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Murky orange-golden with a fair white foam. Aroma: HOPS. A wallop of pine and peppery green, becomes bitter orange, lemony, a touch of caramalt, toast and biscuit; if I wasn’t so fond of hops, I might call it unbalanced... Palate: Medium+ body and fairly sparse effervescence, almost oily. Flav.: The hops continue to dominate with their bold, spicy, peppery character that shows a fair bit of pine and citrus; the malts are slightly more evident, but definitely take a back seat to the bold hoppiness; I think that there is barely enough malt backbone to keep this from going out of balance, but it is close (which is great); dry with a nice bitterness and a slightly malty finish that still has some soapy hop notes.

Ode to Hops. How I love thee, let me count the ways.
