Bottle, RBESG 2005 Grand Tasting. Brandy colour. Hoppy and medicinal aroma. Fairly dry and bitter flavour, but not much else going on. A bit disappointing.

IslandHaole (1091) - Yokosuka-Shi, Kanagawa-Ken, JAPAN - APR 5, 2005
A slightly hazy dark copper color with a creamy tan head. Tropical fruit cocktail and wildflowers, great scent. Honey, lemon, wood, club soda. Light flavors and a bit thin bodied, the bitter follow is nice. A very easy drinking brew.

Eructoblaster (2956) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 21, 2004
Bottle - 500ml. Very nice amber body topped with an average off-white frothy head. Nice hoppy (Cascade) aroma with spicy and herbal hints. Its bitter/hoppy taste may be a bit unidimensional, but it is nice and well-balanced. Light hints of honey and brown sugar. Long and beautiful bitter finish. Nice discovery! Thanks to Oliver Twist’s (Stockholm) waiter for the suggestion.

tiggmtl (4548) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 7, 2004
Strong pine hop nose. Hazy, copper-orange with partial cover of white head and some minor lacing. Mild orange flavour with plenty of pine-like hops. Assertive bitterness. Somewhat thin. Rather uni-dimensional. Bottle sampled with MartinT, muzzlehatch and Rastacouere. Thanks, Per.

muzzlehatch (4424) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - DEC 7, 2004
Dec 2004, Swedish dregs, Alts etc tasting w/MartinT, tiggmtl and Rastacouere #14. 500 ml? bottle. Dark orange-amber, somewhat cloudy-swirly with a short-duration head...smoky pine in the weak earthy nose...watery, weak and lightly smoky malt in the body, with some simple late bitterness and just a touch of acidic fruit, a disappointment.

MartinT (7746) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 6, 2004
UPDATED: NOV 16, 2008 Leafy, bitter hops possess both citrus fruit and piney earth shadows...Caramel and tropical fruit won’t be ready for a while I’m afraid...Lean and simple, not quite close to the style (as Papsoe says, it feels more Belgian than British), but still well made and drinkable...

Rastacouere (6122) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 5, 2004
Light amber color, hazy. Light white ring. Very spicy hops emanate from the bottle. Apparently tart with its hints of lemon and grapefruit juice. Fresh and vigorous citrusy hops complement the earthy malts into a light palate. As it warms up, tea flavors and leafy bitterness become more apparent. Moderate amount of carbonation supports it all. Thanks Per!
