   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 5/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 13/20
ChristianSA (368) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 8, 2007
Bottle. Nice fluffy tan head dragging laces on a clear deep amber beer. Intense and fresh notes of hops. Almost herbal. Flavor is slightly metallic with a light lactic thing playing on the tongue before going into a tongue twisting bitterness ending in a long dry finish. The carbonation is nicely mellow and the body is a bit thin without being watery. This is not a bad beer - it is just lacking many of the trademarks of a brown ale. If I were guessing I would call it an India Pale Ale.

Jonte (1413) - Gothenburg, SWEDEN - SEP 24, 2007
UPDATED: JUN 10, 2009 On-Tap. Brown color with a creamy light brown head. Smell of roasted malt, light sourness, some citrus and spiciness. Tastes of roasted malt, typical Nynäs spicy yeast, soap, some caramel and chocolate, a bit of citrus. Hoppy, bitter finish. Maybe a little too bitter for a brown ale type of beer.

Maria (10179) - Thisted, DENMARK - AUG 3, 2007
Brown with a nice, creamy head. The aroma has a light sourness and notes of caramel. The flavour is slightly bitter and sourish with notes of caramel, and it has quite a few bunt notes. To capture me as a BA, it should have some smooth sweetness and nuts... 2428

ekstedt (5659) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 29, 2007
Draught at the Rover, Göteborg, Sweden. Deep reddish brown, medium creamy beige head. Typical spicy Nynäshamn hops dominate, some caramell and roasted malts also, but the hops are too dominant for a brown ale i.m.o. Medium bodied and smooth, with a long and sharp bitterness. Could have been a really good one with some more malt profile.
