25cl bottle. Pours a clear, deep amber with a foamy head. Hoppy, fruity, slightly earthy nose with notes of resin, grapefruit, apricots. Medium to full bodied, dry, intense hop flavours. OK balance, but alcohol comes through a bit. Malty, slightly yeasty, hops, resin, apricots, hay. Dry, bitter, hoppy finish, slightly earthy. A lighter, more elegant and subdued DIPA. 2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft at Glenfiddich Warehouse No. 68, Stockholm. Aroma has some floral notes but mostly the malt powers through with a lot of bread and roasted tones. It looks beautiful though, mine was served in a snifter and it looked perfectly reddish with a nice white foam. The taste is where it lacks though, DIPAs and IPAs are generally my favorite types but this one was nothing of what I expected. The malty sweetness is there and it feels very full and rich in the mouth but the bitterness is almost nonexistent, very disappointing for a DIPA.
