Pour out of bottle, big thanks to Aaron for this gem! Dark black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of dark fruit, coffee, hints of slight celery, hints of earth, oak, touch of dark cocoa, a bit off. Taste is a mix of oak, cocoa, roast, hints of dark fruit notes into a bit of veggie, a bit of cardboard, finishing fairly bitter, dry. Tasty, but probably better a few years ago.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of a chill Swedish trader. Black appearance with a pretty decent dark brown head. Kind of dusty, cocoa powder, cookie, milky aroma. Fairly light bodied. A hint of chow mein / celery. Dusty / earthy, dark chocolate flavor. Dang, this one has likely fallen off significantly.

En besvikelse, trodde att några år på nacken skulle förgylla smakupplevelsen men fylligheten saknas och den blir en aning för lättdrucken.

500 ml bottle courtesy of Jonas (non-RB). Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a frothy brownish beige head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace. Smell is sweet and very tiny sour with roasted malts, bitter chocolate, prunes, raisins, cereal, liquorice fudge, dark bread, vanilla, dry soil and hints of wood. Taste is sweet, tiy bitter and tiny sour with toasted malts, chocolate, sweetened coffee, prunes, dark grapes, wood, vanilla, dark bread, wood and hints of orange zest and hints of dusty oxidation. Mouthfeel is round, watery as light to medium bodies. Finish is sweet, bitter and sour with dark bread, wood, chocolate, coffee, prunes and liquorice root.

Thanks to GT2! Watern dark brown pour. Nose and flavor are marked by peaty smoke, bitter dark chocolate, caramel Rolos, and a touch of cardboard oxidation. Nice and interesting, but not great.

500mL #444 thanks to both omhper and anders37. Pours tepid, clear mahogany to nearly black with small bubbles. Nose is super smokey, big ass umami, seaweed, steak, ponzu. Taste is lighter, very easy to put down with seasalt, smoked meats, Palate is quite light and slightly slick. Thankfully doesn’t get too ashy. Really hits the palate profile for porter- not nearly as thick or creamy as stout. I’m almost tempted to call this a smoked by the amount of peat character.
