Dark red, almost black colour, beige head. Aroma of teryaki sauce, soy sauce, molasses, tomato paste, light sour, caramel and malts. Flavour of molasses, rather sweet, malts, light porto, light touch of hops. Finish is soy sauce, molasses, malts, with some light lingering sweetness.
Slightly strange, but interesting.

Bottle @ 2nd tuesday tasting @ De Molen. Aroma is wine, port, oxidation, fruits, teriyake. Very nice. Flavour is herbal, spices, some port, again oxidation. Mild bitterness, some azian spice notes. Nice beer.

Bottle at monthly tasting @ de Molen, hosted by dEnk. BBE 5/2010. Dark brown pour, slightly reddish hue, thin off-white head. Aroma is quite strange, ketjap, licorice, soy sauce, dark fruits, plum. Flavor is spicy, salty, licorice and Japanse sauce. Quite strange brew, but held up quite well.

50cl from Alvinne biershop. Cuivrée, col beige crémeux. Arôme est épicé gardant ce bon bouquet de bières hivernales; cannelle, cardamone et muscade. Malt léger grillé. En bouche, malté, épicé similaire à l’arôme sur un palais restant grillé et caramel. Les épices sont bien balancées sans prendre le dessus, en fin de bouche, une fine amertume houblonnée est à noter. Pointe de massepain. Le tout reste bien agréable, léger et facile à boire.

A 50 cl bottle at home in Skövde. Dark beer with a medium sized tanned head. Spicy, malty aroma with some bread notes. Fruity, spicy malty flavour with cinnamon and ginger.

On tap at avenue Pub. Pours a very dark brown with a small off white head. The aroma is a roasted malt and coffee. Medium mouthfeel with a dry roast a dry finish. A decent old ale.

Pour is a brown amber thin head. Smell is raisony oaty malty. Taste is Roasty figgy sweet juniper and piney.

1/21/12. On tap. Clearish dark amber pour with a small khaki head. Dark, rich aroma of dark fruits and cinnamon. Even richer flavor of dark fruits and molasses with tons of roast, cinnamon, anise, and more. Interesting.

Det här var en högst obalanserad och spretig öl, men ändå intressant. Smaken präglas främst av maltighet och en ton av bränd karamell. Det är en smakrik öl med en relativt tunn kropp. Slutsats: spännande.

Bottle 50cl. A clear dark brown colour with a medium high, white head. An aroma of roasted malt, coffee, fruit and clove. The taste is medium sweet and light bitter. A medium body, oily texture, average carbonation and a medium long, light bitter finish.
