Kalli (502) - Falun, SWEDEN - JUL 30, 2007
Tasted at Oliver Twist in Stockholm: Coffee and hops in aroma. Very nice smokey coffee on first taste followed by a bit of American-like hops. Oh yeah, a bit buttery to fit the name, too. Bit thin on the palate, though.

ekstedt (5579) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 28, 2007
Draught at the Rover, Göteborg, Sweden. Dark opaque brown, small creamy beige head. Intense roasted malt aroma with coffee anc dark chocolate, and also some apple-like fruitinness. Medium bodied and smooth. Good balance, with some light acidity, and a long bitter finish.

Svesse (6234) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JUL 25, 2007
(Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse No 68, Stockholm) Black colour with frothy pale brown head. Roasted nose with coffee, bitter chocolate and hints of tobacco. Roasted taste with chocolate, coffee and tobacco. Rather dry, with a lovely coffee bitterness in the finish. Not overly bitter, but perfectly balanced, with chocolatey malt shining through all the way. Actually quite brilliant, in my opinion very much like a porter should be.

Bottle. Opaque black colour with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malt with notes of smoke and liquorice. Flavour of coffee and chocolate. Nice!

larsga (6276) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 8, 2007
Big dark brown fine-laced lasting head. Opaque black body goes dark red at edges. Burnt pine needle aroma. Deep sweetish burnt malt taste, kind of thin and sharp, with a very slight stickiness in the mouthfeel. Pine needle notes. No aftertaste. Complex sugar settles on the lips. Mild, a bit thin and flat, not too exciting. (0.5l bottle of 2005 vintage at Oliver Twist.)

Draught (Helsinki Beer Festival 2007, Helsinki)
Thick black opaque, a bit cold. It’s a refreshing porter. As it warms, the dark roast malts come through very pleasantly. (6-5-8-4-14=3.7)
Rerate: 500ml bottle - shared by Mirjukka - thanks!
Rich dark brown, tan head. Rich chocolaty nose. Big roasty body. Some sweet smoky bacon nose too. Got some soap from the hops a few times. Finish is deliciously roasty. Great burntness, not astringent at all. Classic strong porter. (7:4+:8:4+:15=3.8)

Rastacouere (6136) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 10, 2007
Bottle, Oliver Twist Close to black. Firm smallish light brown head. A strongly coffee-like porter with very roasty flavours and tiny brown sugar notes. Not Nyna’s best mouthfeel imo, a bit unfilling, a certain creaminess, yet expanding, foamy palate. No chocolate noted. Dryish finish with tobacco nuances and almost no fruitiness. Simpler than I anticipated. I don’t quite understand the high scores.. well it’s dark.

Draught @ Bishop’s Arms, Malmö. Pours a black color with a longlasting tan head. Roasted malty aroma with hints of coffee and chocolate. Roasted malty chocolate flavor with some hints of coffee. Sweet roasted malty finish with some hints of coffee in the aftertaste.

Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 18, 2007
(Draught) As black as can be, big beige head. Licorice dominates in aroma with hoppy bitterness, nice roasted coffee is also rich there. Nice aroma. Medium bodied. Flavor has even stronger roastiness with licorice and sweet caramel, I like this. Hops come up in drying aftertaste. Biting palate.

lgklotet (432) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 24, 2007
UPDATED: AUG 22, 2007 Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse 68, Stockholm. Very full and rich, with roasty goodness. Sort of sharp though.. Re-rate: Way too smoky. Never again!
