It poured an almost pitch black with a medium sized brown head. Dark chocolate smell with a hint of coffee. Creamy and chocolaty taste with a roasted bitter finnish. Very nice beer!

25cl bottle from Alko Arkadia.BB 6/2014. 5.9%. Black colored liquid with a thin, brown head that disappears quickly. Quite flat actually. Aroma has signs of oxidation, strong sherry notes, wood, not much else really. Flavor has the same signs, some chocolate and wood here as well. Thin body. Roasted malt in the finish. Drinkable despite the flaws, even though it surely is not what the brewer meant this beer to be. Re-rate later.

Bottle 25 cl. Pours cola dark brown in color with a small tan head. Cold coffee, salty licorice and wooden notes in aroma at first which later on turn into more sweeter milk chocolate and cocoa power-like. Dry. Roasted malty notes, bit of saltyness and licorice in taste. Not that great as stand alone but together with some icecream it feels a bit more tasteful, as it seems to get some more roasted notes out and at the same time a bit of smoke and some bitter chocolate appears in the flavor as well.

Draft The Rover Göteborg. Väldigt mörk fin färg med mörk gul skumkrona. Arom av choklad och tallbarr. Men därefter en viss besvikelse. Smaken lever inte upp till den komplexa aromen. Ganska anonym . ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
