Bottle. Black colour with a baige head. Roasted chocolate coffee aroma and a light smoked roasted chocolate coffee taste. Medium body and a smoked finish.

Good-looking, opaque black shade, offering a large, lasting, perfect light tan head of quality lacing. Generously roasty nose procures a rather smokey profile. Char wood, burning tobacco and light fruits (grapes) make for most of the taste development, but the smoke seems integrated and inherent to it all, adding a whisper of originality to an otherwise apparently BJCP-aimed brew. Limited acidity despite potentially american hops. A potential standard-bearer dry stout, hitting right on in every aspect and finishing strong and with roastiness at length despite natural watery edges in the light-medium mouthfeel of soft and gentle carbonation. Perfect execution.

Draught. Low and quickly disappearing light brown head. Wauw this is black my man. Nice coffee aroma. Pretty heavily carbonated and hoppy coffee flavor. Long coffee aftertaste. Feels a bit thin though.

Roasted coffee a bit smokey. Taste is roasted and one dimentional.

rbesg06, bottle at haket, served at room temperature. very black with a small but lasting brown head. sweaty aroma with traces of figs and cocoa powder. quite mild, for a while i was disappointed that this didn’t have more oomph but i grew to appreciate it. faintly salty, roasted bitter finish

UPDATED: SEP 26, 2006 Bottle. Nice roasty stout, if a little light, some nice flavours of mocha and chocolate aswell as sweet caramel. Like a mild in many ways, very drinkable i think.

(Draught at Bishop’s Arm, Järntorget, Gothenburg, 1 Aug 2007) Pitch black colour with brief brown head. Roasted nose with tobacco, chocolate and black coffee. Roasted taste with notes of tobacco, liquorice and black bitter coffee. A bit like unsweetened, black, cold coffee. Dry, rather thin body. Very nice one, but some more backbone wouldn’t hurt.

Black beer with a light brown head. Roasted malty aroma with a nice coffee bitterness and a vague tobacco note. Roasted malty flavor with a light coffee note. Light dry and bitter finish.

Toast and roasted coffee. Jet black, brown creamy head. Lightbodied cold coffee.

Draught. Sampled at Stockholm Beer Festival 2003. Really dark, creamy head. Fresh, burnt, fruity aroma. Really soft palate. A very burnt coffeeflavour and some plastic(?).
