Draught. Aroma has roasted malts and coffee. Mouthfeel is smooth. Flavor is quite mild having coffee as a dominant flavor. Aroma is better, but this is decent. This is more of a stout than an black ipa, not that much hops. Aftertaste is dominated by salty licorice.

Dark reddish brown beer with nice creamy blond head. Aromas of roasted malts, piny hops and caramel sweetness. Taste has roasted malts, coffee, pine and soap. Quite heavy dry finish with medium full mouthfeel.

Tap @ Gastropub Nordic.
Pours dark hazy mahogany color with a small, lasting head. Aroma of tar, roasted malts, some licorice notes and hops, some orange also. Flavour of toasted malts, resiny hops, salmiac notes and some faint vegetables, distant goose berries too. Creamy malty palate with a bitter fruity finish. A bit unbalanced and raw, feels somewhat home brewish.

Aroma is hoppy with bun dough, some roasted notes and gooseberry bush. Flavour has cocoa, hops, syrup and slight yeasty notes. Some harsh malt in the finish making this a bit kotikalja-like. Too messy and yeasty but not bad still.

On tap at Ardberg Embassy. Opaque black beer, little pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Mellow creamy dark malt, lactose sweetness. A little sweet grain, not raw but very mildly roasted. Sweet pine hops and a touch of pink candy fruits! Semi dry finish. Interesting!

Draught at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Black with a tan head. Tones of both roasted malt and hops in the aroma: citric fruits, pine and grass with tobacco and liquorice. The flavour is bitter-fruity and hopped but also roasted with coffee and liquorice. Bitterness dominates the finish.

Keg (Pikkulintu, Helsinki)
Sweetish nettley aroma, hint of tobacco, treacle and old leather. Weird herbal taste. Nettles definitely in the taste. Stir fry spicy vegetables. But also dry burnt roast. Kind of like an English stout, with added weirdness. Finish dry dry old bitter hops, touch of bitter coffee grounds too.
