COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Pours dark orange with a medium sized white head. Slightly hazy. Anonymous malty aroma with small metallic and smoked notes in the background. Think "doublebock light". The taste has got wheat beer similarities with its clove notes and smoothness. Fruity notes of grape and orange cant make it all the way to hop heaven, due to the rather disturbing (although I have to say - rather refreshing) pilslike bitterness in the finish. Slightly smoked and quite dry aftertaste. Overall a stable, refreshing summer beer. Maybe a bit too heavy and alcoholic to be as drinkable as I always hope for american pale ales to be.

Flavour of caramel malts, grassy hops, hay, floral notes and sweet mint candies. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Finishes sweet, lingering bitter and grassy. More of an IPA and a bit too sweet.

Rune (7760) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUN 28, 2013
Draught at Ardbeg Embassy. Bright copper coloured body. Good lacing from a fading, white head. Fruity aroma, oranges and apricots. Malt-fruity taste, fine mix of caramel, resin and apricot, leading to a bittersweet tail. Soft in the mouth. Decent, rather heavy, summer drink (Stockholm 21.06.2013).
