COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Pours dark orange with a medium sized white head. Slightly hazy. Anonymous malty aroma with small metallic and smoked notes in the background. Think "doublebock light". The taste has got wheat beer similarities with its clove notes and smoothness. Fruity notes of grape and orange cant make it all the way to hop heaven, due to the rather disturbing (although I have to say - rather refreshing) pilslike bitterness in the finish. Slightly smoked and quite dry aftertaste. Overall a stable, refreshing summer beer. Maybe a bit too heavy and alcoholic to be as drinkable as I always hope for american pale ales to be.

Cask via handpump at Oliver Twist, Stockholm on 21st June 2012. Clear copper with off-white ring-and-film giving partial lacing. Malty and peppery aroma with notes of salad vegetables. In mouth taste interesting - pepper notes continue with fresh veg tastes developing - green peppers, herbs and salad leaves. Malty, fruity and slightly savoury aftertaste; light mouthfeel. Not a favourite, but quite an interesting drink.
