Bottle shared thanks to trade with linusb. Pours near black with a medium beige head. Aroma of toffee, milk chocolate, fudge, malt and light soy. Flavour is light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter. Over medium bodied with a big sense of just munching on a box of chocolates and soft carbonation.

A: Pitch black with a thin lacing head. N: Coffee, figs, dark berries, smoke, yeast, dried fruits T: Coffee, dried fruits, berries O: Quite heavy on the coffee, reminds me of a trappist other than the heavy coffee. Taste is a bit tart and bitter coffee. Good.

Bottle (2014 ed). Black. Malty, dark syrupy bready, roasted, light licorice nose. Med full bodied, clean nice finish. Some oilyness mid palate, real easy though. Good flavours, bit traditional bready närkeishy portery feel. Nice, semi-desserty- drink. Bit low on the flavour-to-abv- ratio, would expect more from such a hefty %.
