Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, wood, licorice, chocolate, caramel and hops. Some alcohol in the finish.

Was looking forward to this but it’s such a let down. Pours viscous black with tiny tan head. Strange aroma of vegetable matter :/ Taste is rather lacking and is strong alcohol. Pretty poor tbh.

Very strange beer that. The smell was only distasteful. But when I drank beer, I thought otherwise. It was tastier in flavor. The aftertaste is long and there is fine. One of the better beers from this brewery.

Bottle. Black colour with a quickly fading tan head. Aroma of chocolate, toffee, caramel, hops. Flavour is somewhat sweet, caramel, malt, liquorice.

Doften säger tyvärr inte så mycket men smaken säger desto mer med toner av malt, frukt och choklad. Balansen är ytterst behaglig och kroppen likaså. Slutsats: en riktigt bra öl.

Huh? Retired? It’s seasonal, not retired... Anywho... Pours black with about a finger of nice, thick tan head. Aroma is clear strong porter, with smoke, roasted malt, leather, earth and some german sausage for good measure. It’s not overly bacon-y for which I’m grateful. Taste is nice and thick, initial light bitterness, then a fairly rich sweetness before a balanced lightly bitter finish. Body is full and creamy, with fairly low carbonation. One of my favorites at SB this Christmas.

UPDATED: APR 19, 2013 Bottle: Blacl colour, with a nice creamy brown head. Aroma dominates of portviny, raisins,caramelly,flowery, dark choclate and woody, some vanilla to. Flavor had a nice caramelly,saltlakris mouthfeeling, medium body and vanilla and portviny long finish! Werry nice complea porter this one!!

Bottled. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Smells stale roasted malt and abit can. Tastes coffee, roasted, dark chocolate, figs, raisins.

Pours black with medium off white head. Nice!
Aromas of dark fruits, hints of chocolate and coffee
Nice sweet warm mouthfeel. Medium bodied, low bitterness. Nice coffee and chocolate like taste. Possibly the best från Nynäshamn.

(Bottle) Black colour with brief, brown head. Malty, roasted nose with dark chocolate, cacao, black rye bread, soy sauce, liquorice, tobacco and a touch of smoke and tar. Malty, roasted taste with notes of black coffee, liquorice, black rye bread, soy sauce, dried fruit and a touch of tar. Generous cacao bitterness in a finish with a certain sweetness. More than medium body, slightly oily mouthfeel. Very nice.
