Ljuvlig arom av mörk frukt, russin. Svart kropp, med brunt skum. Smaken nästa lite åt det belgiska hållet.

(Bottle, 0.25 l - BB 11/!5 - 2012 vintage, thanks SaintMatty, 20141231) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had chocolate, creamy coffee and burnt malts. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were chocolate, sweetness, creamy coffee, toffee, burnt malts, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was creamy, roasty, sweet and bitter. A little bit too sweet brew but otherwise good.

Nice but short taste. Heavy taste. Nice but "short not very long lasting" foam.

Flaska från Systembolaget. Årgång 2013. Mörkt brun med lågt ljusbrunt skum. Doftar massor. Kaffe, choklad, vanilj, sötlakrits. Fyllig varm smak av choklad och kaffe. Som det står på flaskan är nog den här perfekt en kall vinterkväll. Värmande alkoholhalt men väl dold i smaken. Jag vill ha fler till i vinter!

25cl bottle via Winter Secret Santa 2013. Pours a murky, basically opaque black with some thin, beige head. Nose has an interesting mix of meaty smoke and licorice, some mild sausage fat, molasses, malt, some earthy coffee, some brown sugar, a little dried cherry, a little wet tree bark. Flavor is malty sweet, molasses, licorice, hints of smoke, like caramel burned on the bottom of the kettle, a little condensed cola, some cherry, a little raisin too. Full bodied, sweet finish.

25 cl bottle in trade from Alex. Thanks. Pours a dark brown color with a medium tan head that has fair retention. The aroma is big and bold with mocha, chocolates, anise, molasses and roasted chestnuts. The taste featured more roasted chestnuts, rye, mocha, coffee, more coffee and something a bit fruity. The palate was thinner than I prefer, which was a shame, as this had so much promise, and the carbonation was soft. Finished long with lingering sweetened coffee notes. Overall: I really liked this one, good porter.

Bottle. 9.1%. Best before 11.15. Pours a dark brown, almost black, with a decent tan head. No lacing, but the head stays in place. Sweet, malty and dark fruit aroma, a bit dusty, with notes of bread and a light roasted overtone. Flavour is sweetish and malty. A bit fruity as it warms, with a light tartness, which gives it a hint of berries. Roasted finish with hints of coffee. Mild alcohol burn and a lingering dryness, along with a grassy note. Soft, almost creamy palate. Overall good. But lacks some complexity and body. 11.06.14.
