Bottle to oversized snifter (thanks kazin). Looks alright; black with no head or lacing. Smells a bit sour/funky. Tastes sour (and I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be). Mouthfeel is average. Interesting, but I’d like to know if the sour is planned or due to an infection.

En trevlig porter i starkaste laget. Smak av kaffe och choklad. Smakrik och som fyller hela gommen.

CapFlu (4461) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 3, 2012
(25cl bottle) Courtesy of Blomster. Pours a brown head that settles to the edge of the glass. Perfectly solid black. Nose of salted black licorice and a Triple Bock. The very dense aroma transforms to a slightly fruity and molasses tongue. Not a slap in the face ABV, no mega soya sauce finish. A nice all around beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPod; and powered by RateBeer.com, the world’s largest and most accurate beer database.

Bottle… Clear dark brown ale with no head. The aromatics are of fudge and vanilla with a pinch of brown sugar. Medium to full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and soft carbonation. The flavor is nicely balanced. Tree nuts and caramel with light milk chocolate. Rich mocha finish. Bottle courtesy of darkguardian!

250 ml bottle shared by GT2: Pours a mostly opaque dark mahogany with a thin spotty-lacing ring of tan head. Has a lightly sweet toasty dark caramel and chocolate nose. Starts with rich chewy dark malty sweetness with some plum and raisin flavors before a toasty dark chocolate finish with a touch of smoke. Good complexity and drinkability.

Thanks to Darkguardian for sharing this one. Big coco puff nose. Dark brown pour with tan head. Lots of deep roasty malts, chocolate, and caramel notes.
