4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Frovigalning (2041) - Örebro, SWEDEN - OCT 12, 2010
UPDATED: NOV 24, 2010 Bottle at SBWF 2010 (Snickeriet - Nynäshamn). It poured a pitch black liquid with a small brown head. The bottle had been opened for a while so will re-rate this in december. Flavour of chocolate, spices, cake and candy. Also some vegetables which might be an effect from keeping an opened bottle in the fridge. I didn’t taste any brett in my sample. An interesting beer, like a spicey porter, will update these notes when it is released at Systembolaget.
[UPDATE] - Tried it at ÖBWF and the vegetable flavour was gone. This is a really nice and complex christmas porter. Updated score as well.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 omhper (17558) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 5, 2010
Bottled. Very black, beige head. Behind tobacco and soft licorice lies notes of sweaty orange and brett. Mid sweet with full body, beatifully sfot and mouthfilling. Lots of chocolate with a mild salty tobacco finish. Exceptionally good right now, but watch out for that brett...
