joergen (17349) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 11, 2013
Draught at the brewpub. Clear brown coloured with a small beige head. Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel with notes of dried fruits. Sweet and fruity flavour of hops, grass and caramel with notes of dried fruits. Hoppy finish.

omhper (17461) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 19, 2013
Draught at the brewpub. Dark brown, small head. Toasty and caramelly. Sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Toffee, black cherries and coffee. Low bitterness. Solid, but not very refined.

worldbeertaste (1121) - Lancashire, ENGLAND - JAN 7, 2013
Black with a light red tint and a creamy, lasting, tan sticky lacy head. Smells of roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel. Medium to full oily body. Like all the beers this one seemed slightly off but less than the milder ones possibily due to the strong chocolate. Sweet chocolate roasted malt with dark malt and a slightly burnt ash bittersweet finish but the sweetness lingers. For the ABV it covers itself nicely but a world class beer this is not. Easily the best of the Four core beers.

ogivlado (4987) - Zagreb, CROATIA - SEP 12, 2012
On tap at the brewpub. Pale brown coloured, medium sized beige head, light chocolate nose. Mild roasted malt, milk chocolate and hint of caramel with bitterish/sweet finish. Ok Brune, let’s say the best of 4 O’Neil beers which are basically average and pretty boring.

Velkyal (263) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - JAN 1, 2012
Pours deep, deep garnet, bordering on black, head is light tan. Aromas of coffee and some chocolate dominate, perhaps a trace of smoke in the background. The coffee/chocolate theme dominates the taste department, and the body was much lighter than I expected for the colour. A very nice beer.

ladnewton (1142) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 21, 2011
On tap at Brasserie O’Neil - brew pub, Paris on 20th November 2011. Deep brown with pale brown head that decays to a ring-and-film. Rich, sweet aroma - Christmas pudding/fruitcake. Rich berries, citrus and biscuit malts in-mouth, with lemon zest becoming salient and tingling on the tongue. Stilton note. Brief spicy burst before a sweet fruity finish ensues. Body relatively light.

LordCorkscrew (1774) - Ronco Scrivia (GE), ITALY - AUG 11, 2011
Si lascia sbevucchiare questa brown ale semplicissima; piena potabilità per O’Neil (al di fuori della lager), ma questi prodotti sono davvero trascurabili.

Lubiere (8243) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 30, 2011
A reddish brown ale with a thin moka head. In aroma, sweet herbaceous malt, lightly off. In mouth, a herbal, nutty malt, light roasted notes, oily mouthfeel, not bad. On tap at brewpub, May 12 2011.

TheGB (422) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - APR 22, 2011
On draft at pub in Paris. Pours a nice brown, with a 1" head. Light aroma, not a lot there, some malt and molasses. Smooth taste with a light to medium palate, a little malt, lychee, yeast and citrus.

Marko (3612) - Split, CROATIA - FEB 28, 2011
Draught at the brewpub. Dark brown body, small thick white head. Slightly acidic fruity malty nose, light dogfood and herbs. Odd malty taste, bit fishy, but the mouthfeel is nice and soft. Some creaminess and raisins.
