| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 15, 2009 On tap at the 2 Bros. Tap House for the current Heavy Handed tapping. Poured a cloudy, orangy amber with an off white foamy head that produced same fairly clingy strands of lacing. Not bad for being dispensed to plastic. The aroma was light toastiness, subtle oak, malt sweetness, and a hint of caramel. The flavor was similar, adding some mid-fruit, tartness, and a subtle hop bitterness. The malty sweetness was a little less intense and the oak notes subdued. Some alcohol warmth was noticed. In comparison to the regular Domaine Dupage, the clean oak barreling, however short in duration, has given this beer more complexity and a fuller mouthfeel. Very enjoyable. jstraw (778), Chicago, Illinois, USA
