A 2001 Silver Medal Winner at the North American Brewers' Association competition. A deep-copper colored medium - bodied ale. Its fresh flavor is smooth and carefully balanced with a nice mellowness and hint of caramel malt balanced by medium hop bitterness. It is an all malt beer that is naturally carbonated. A very drinkable beer all on its own and pairs well with all kinds of foods.

Bottle, pours a deep amber body with a white head with light retention and spotty lacing. Aromatically malty, caramel, big vegetative DMS and margarine. Buttery body hints of toasted malts and a slick body with a crisp carbonic bite. To many flaws here.

(12oz bottle). Pours crystal clear copper color with white head. Very little carbonation. Aroma has sweet honey, cardboard, and butter. Taste is sweet malt with with very mild hop bitterness. Thin bodied with a slick texture. This is an easy to drink beer, but its not my favorite style and not a great example either.

Bottle pours deep amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet and grainy with with light citrus and some grass. Flavor shows the same with additional notes of cardboard and honey.

Slightly hazy and orange-copper colored. Aroma is caramel malt, grain, soap. The taste isn’t bad at all, just a little weak, a little sweet and buttery from the malt, but it is mostly masked by the high level of carbonation. Body is decent, but again, carbonation is the dominant feature when drinking this. Were this less bubbly, the rating would have been significantly higher.

Clear copper with thin tan head and a bit of lacing. Well balanced aroma and taste; could be a session beer. Overall a very good amber ale; on par with Fat Tire.

Draft. Amber beer with an off-white head. Malt aroma. Malt and light hop fl;avor with grainniness. Medium bodied. Malt and light hops linger with grain. Hops mostly light grapefruit. Tired of grainy Oak Creek beers.

I am quickly finding out that I am not a fan of this brewery. Copper pour. Overwhelming smell of a new garden hose. Flavor is better than the aroma...by a little. Some honey, light hops, caramel malt and some rubber hose. Damn.

Bottle. Pours a hazy ruby hued amber with a hefty off white head. Cardboard, paper, and grain right up front, some vague hints of hops. Tons of carbonation, sweet malt, more cardboard and grain flavors. Finishes up with a lingering light bitterness but more paper flavors.
