COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A 2001 Silver Medal Winner at the North American Brewers' Association competition. A deep-copper colored medium - bodied ale. Its fresh flavor is smooth and carefully balanced with a nice mellowness and hint of caramel malt balanced by medium hop bitterness. It is an all malt beer that is naturally carbonated. A very drinkable beer all on its own and pairs well with all kinds of foods.

Served on tap at the North Rim, Grand Canyon lodge. Aroma was a nice mix of sweet malts with a fruity hue. Coloring was a rich amber with a light head and lacing that held up. Taste was malty with a slightly nutty twist and moderate to light hopping. The mouthfeel was decent. Overall, I thought this was a nice amber that complemented the view overlooking the Grand Canyon.

"another non-offensive but very simplistic brew from Oak Creek. I enjoyed it more than several other beers I’ve rated right around, but it’s just too simple (like a carmel malt kit) to score average or better. really no hops to speak of, maybe even less than the brown. Semi-sweet malt flavor is a little muddled. Again, not a bad beer, but like something one would make with a kit."

Tried this in Sedona as part of my buy local concept. No head and low carbonation. Big notes of rotted detritus and card board. Had a syrupy caramel flavor undertone.

Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 3/3/14

Aroma: The aroma is kind of dull, some caramel notes, bread, and not much else
Appearance: It pours an amber color, mostly clear, with an off-white head
Flavor: The flavor is much the same: a little malty and kind of dull, not much hop presence
Palate: The body is light and clean, fairly smooth, soft, and with a shorter finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was a fairly unexciting one. It wasn’t an example of the style that I thought was particularly good. It is just kind of a dull beer.

Very nice amber color. Malty palate with a sweetness that shines through in the aftertaste.

A boring and bland take on an amber. Pours a dark red copper with a soapy fluffed up white head. The nose has grainy, cereal skunk notes with a hint of grassy hops, lemon zest and toasted bread. Mild mannered flavour; easy to sip and paired well with nachos. Overall, a run of the mill brew

Bottle from AJ’s Fine Foods Scottsdale. Pours light brown with very little head. not much on the nose. tongue feels a bit buttery. If this was a silver medal, I’d hate to taste bronze.

Serving: from tap at Bonkers Restaurant. Aroma: light malt. Appearance: small, frothy, off-white, initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, medium-amber body. Taste: lightly sweet initial flavor and lightly sweet, fruit and cardboard-like finish with average duration. Palate: medium body with oily texture and soft carbonation. Overall: nothing special.
