COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Gold medal winner in the 2002 North American Brewers' Association competition, this richly gold-colored lager beer has a crisp hop note. It maintains its zest and balance of hops and malt from start to finish. It is a cold lagered and naturally carbonatedall-malt beer. It is very versatile beer that can be enjoyed alone or with nearly any type of food.

12 oz bottle, via FlacoAlto, labeled as "Gold Lager". Pours a deep gold colored body with a minimal and quickly disappearing white head. Nose is showing alot of DMS, just like opening up a can of creamed corn. Beyond that maybe a little toasted malt. Flavor is just as thin as can be, with a corn flavored finish and minimal to no hoppiness. Typical Pale Lager Mouthfeel, thin and fizzy with a dry finish. This is just another in the long storied history of flavorless Pale Lagers.

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 13/20
FlacoAlto (4139) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JUN 11, 2005
This is from a bottle labeled simply "Gold Lager"
Pours a brilliantly clear rich gold, almost too copper, color and is topped by a frothy light tan colored head. The aroma is lightly spicy in a hoppy way and has notes of warm toasted malt biscuits underneath the hop notes. The taste is dry and spritzy up front, but then moves to a lightly sweet pale maltiness, with some toasty malt notes, that is accented by a spicy note of lemony hops. This beer has a solid bite in the finish that is a mix of carbonation and hop bitterness. This beer is a pleasant surprise, it is quite well made and I really like the good mix between spicy/ lemony hop notes and simple yet evident malt character. This beer is a perfect pre-dinner beer on a hot Tucson summer day.
