COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional unfiltered Bavarian wheat beer with aromatic hints of banana and clove. This beer won the Bavarian Gold Medal at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver Colorado Staurday, September 27, 2003. It is made with up to 50% wheat malt instead of all malted barley which lends a lighter note. It is deep gold in color with a very low hop bitterness level and a dense head of white foam. It is traditionally enjoyed as the summer beer of choice in Bavaria and pairs well with appetizers, sandwiches and subs.

Tap at brewery as part of flight, thanks to inlaws for gift certificate. Pours hazy yellow with thin head. Slight aromas that mimics the tastes of bananas, clove, grass, and wheat. Very crisp and bubbly.

Tasted at brewery, probably their best tap offering this night. Over the top banana, bubble gum, clove, and wheat in both aroma and flavor. Nice creamy and smooth palate. A bit extreme with the esters, but I liked it.

12oz. Bottle: Got in trade from fiveacestx; THANKS Cam! Aroma of wheat, banana, and some cloves. Poured a muddy yellow/orange/amber in color with a small, creamy, dense, white head that diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer and around the edges. Cloudy. Sparkling. Full of tiny and some large-sized particles throughout. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of wheat, banana, vanilla, coconut, and some clove. Medium body. Slick then dry texture. Average to lively carbonation. Wheat, banana, clove, vanilla finish is dry.

Bottle (courtesy of Ibrew2or3) . Sweet peach, banana, clove and musk aroma. Cloudy golden yellow color with moderate head. Slightly sweet banana, funky musk and wheat malt flavor. Medium body. Not bad - different spiciness than the typical Hefeweizen.
