(On draught at Hungry Monk). Pours a clear, deerp mahogany with trim khaki head. Light to moderate carbonation. Aroma has caramel, bready malts. Taste is sweet and sour malts with some bitterness. Really kind of dull and boring. The malt bill is lacking as are the hops.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 douglas88 (4478) - Salt Lake City, Utah, USA - OCT 6, 2011
On tap at GABF 2011. This is an unfortunate rating because this beer was infected, there was just loads of diacetal. Pours a deep red color with a small white head. The aroma is dry earthy caramel and toasted malts, light pine. The flavor is similarly dominated by dry caramel malts, lightly toasted, but there is a strong diacetal buttery flavor throughout that I can’t ignore. Still, it was decent. I will re-rate this when given the opportunity.

Red pour. Crackers, caramel malt, nuts, bread, citrus hop aroma. Flavor is somewhat boring. Old bread, crackers, light resin, orange peel...overall not a winner.
