Poured into a pint glass. Darker than I had expected, almost black. No light is escaping this puppy.
First sip was surprising, as it was a bit syrupy and thick. For a beer that’s not over 8% alcohol, this is about as slow drinking as it gets.
It’s not a bad beer, not by any means, but with as many fantastic craft brews that are out there, I doubt I will enjoy this one again.

Sep 9, 2008 Clear brown with medium beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and hops. Sweet flavor with roasted malt, caramel and chocolate notes. Ends sweet.

Aug 2, 2008 Poured a dark amber color from the tap with a hick white head of foam. Malty and balanced with the flavor of hazelnut. Highly drinkable. Easily the best beer I tried at their brewery.

Jul 6, 2008 12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden deep brown with a lacing white head. Mild roasted malt and light spiced aroma. Flavour is mild roasted toffee and light spiced. Holds a mild to subdued spiced bitterhops finish. Medium dry finish. Semi light body.

Jul 3, 2008 Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet matly with notes of caramel as well as a light touch of phenol. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of dusty hops, caramel, and bread, leading to a dry caramel finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.
