On tap. Clear amber pour with small tan head. Aroma of yeast, spices, ripe fruit and brown sugar. Taste of malts, caramel, fruity, a touch of spice and yeast. Medium bodied and slightly dry finish. Good beer, not memorable though.

Poured up at Flanny’s Arizona on Tap Festival with a nice clear amber body that has copper hues and supporting a tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up sweetness, a little bit of Belgian yeasty spices, brown sugar dusted prunes and then a dark malt to black strap molasses like sensation. The taste begins with brown sugar dipped prunes, raisins and Belgian spicy yeastiness. To midway a little more brown sugar pokes out and helps even things out into a semi dry finish.

Supposed to be a Chimay Blue knock off and it comes fairly close. Very big-high alcohol beer. Little brown head. Full bodied. Just a little too sweet to compared to Chimay Blue. Yeast esters come out nicely as the beer warms up. Would be better with a little bit of age to it.
