4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
12 oz bottle poured into an imperial pint glass. Pours a clear brown with a reddish hue and a one finger off white head that leaves a very nice lacing. Smells of malt, caramel, bread, and some indistinguishable hops with a light spiciness. Tastes of roasted malt, caramel, resin, light oak, spicy hop, and lemony hops. Chewy on the palate without being overly thick with a nice bitter backbone and long lingering finish. Great beer, I would highly recommend. If you don’t like it perhaps "you’re not worthy" as they say.

Poured a dark bronze with a thin light head. Aromas of caramel, toasty grains, and apricot. Tastes of roasted nuts, smokey wood chips and sweet malt. Medium body with mild carbonation. Overall very good.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from ABC. Pours a thick, dark brown with a very thin head; gone almost instantly. Smells of caramel maltiness and faint vanilla. Dark fruits abound. The oak taste definitely comes through for me. Full bodied, oily, thick mouthfeel and a really smooth finish. Acquire.

3.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance: Deep amber color with ¼ inch cream head. Head appears to have viscosity of whipped cream. No real lacing to speak of.
Smell: Caramelly, molasses-like. Bananas and rum. Oaky.
Taste: Surprisingly balanced, based on the smell and oak-aging. Not too sweet. Starts with gentle, bubbly carbonation followed by a creamy, rich mouthfeel. Hop bitterness comes through fairly strong for the style. Definitely tasting the oak and maltiness as it finishes, and a warm heat exudes from the alcohol.
Overall: Pleasing aromas and a very well-balanced beer. A little thinner than I imagined, but other than that it is high-quality.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Foggy ruby with long lasting rocky half inch of foam. Aroma is toffee, candy, pine, oak, vanilla. Taste is significantly bitter. Oak is there, but fairly subtle. Honestly there’s more "just bitter" than interesting flavours it seems. Good.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured a darker amber color with an averaged off white head. Woody aroma with light vanilla. I found the woodiness to really come out in the flavor (a lot stronger vs. the aroma). Malts in hops in there as well. Lighlty sweet.

"this beer was very good. it mellowed most all that i didn’t particularly care for in the regular AB. Very smooth, as the oak aging treated this beer VERY well."

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Really good brew...not too oaky thouigh...I am not bitching cuz I do not like a ton of unbalanced oak. Big malts and great hops as stone always does.
