Ungstrup (10863), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 1, 2007 Bottled. A dark amber beer with a dark orange head. The aroma is extremely hoppy which gives it strong notes of grapefruit, but it also has strong notes of alchol. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel and grapefruit, and only hints of vanilla, leading to a dry bitter end. Nice - but to me the oak notes are too subdued. omhper (10145), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 25, 2008 Bottled. Mahogany colour, small creamy head. Powerful grapefruity hop aroma that collides abrubtly with oak. Sweet and rounded with solid caramelly body. Massively hoppy, citric and grapefruity. The oak and hops bitterness combine to an unpleasantly inky finish. Papsoe (9774), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 8, 2007 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear, dark amber with an off-white head. Very pleasant hop aroma. Medium body with some caramel. A very discreet whiff of aroma hops, but otherwise just a raw and unrefined bitterness. A bit of a disappointment. 291206 joergen (6148), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 7, 2007 Bottle.
