3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma of caramel/ almonds/ brown sugar/ apple. Appearance is dark amber with bone head. Flavor matches the nose with a moderate spruce/ nutty finish. Palate is bubbly and slightly chewy. Actually pretty good- one of the better amber ales I’ve had.

2.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle One of my buddies brought me back a few bottles from this brewery/restaurant. Nice color, decent head but no discernable nose. Taste was pleasant w/ moderate carbonation. Nothing outstanding but offensive. Pretty decent ale...

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy red (sediment in bottom of bottle), little head, small lace. The best thing I can say is that it is FAR better than I anticipated. There is plenty of caramel malt and roasted grain (maybe some bread?). A nikce bittering, combo of carbonation and mild hops finishes it well. Balanced, easy to drink, not filling, a surprisingly good ale.

3.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pour from a 12 oz bottle. medium amber brew with 2 fingers of off white head, very frothy an persistent. Light aroma of malts and floral hops, hints of toasted malt. Taste is great - modest malitness at the start mellowing into a very earthy, wood chip, dry finish. It is earthy in a great way - doesn’t taste like dirt, but really unique. don’t have high expectations for most ambers or browns, but this one really delivers.

citrus, bitter, lively, full body, spruce, very bitter, medium sourness, light sweetness,
It’s not bad for a domestic ale. I would certainly pick it over bud, coors, or miller, but I’d take a nice micro brew lager above it any day...even in the winter.
