Draft. Deep amber body. Frothy, off-white head. Aroma of husky, toasted grain with light citrus and pine. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A mild amber ale with husky grain in the aftertaste. Unimpressive.

Pours a beautiful deep amber color with a very low small white head that fades fast. Aroma has a touch of citrus to the nose with a low Maris or Munich toasted presence. Flavor begins with a citrus hit first, then a dry, light toasted malt flavor takes over. Fairly one dimensional on the flavor but pretty good. Body is light/modest in density with almost zero carbonation and a light dryness to the finish. Overall not too bad for an amber as I typically don’t care too much for the style. No harsh grainy/metallic flavors that can be found in non-ideal brews of the style.

12 oz. bottle from a trade. Color is deep, dirty crimson. Smell is Earthy, woody hops with some caramel malts. Tastes just like it smells with a secondary nutty flavor. Medium body, with mild carbonation. Has a hop bitterness that just doesn’t work with the Sweetness and wood. Not terrible just not my type of thing.

Cloudy amber briwn color, thick tan head. Aroma and taste both have lightly burnt caramel and toast. Not bad.

Aroma of caramel, roasted malts and some English hops. Flavor of semi-sweet caramel with slight bitterness on the back end. Very well balanced. About the most flavor you could ever hope for out of this style, well done.

Bottle. Pours a murky amber. Light tan head with good retention. Mild caramel aroma. Flavor of same. More bitter then sweet. Too much bitter for my idea of an amber.

UPDATED: MAY 17, 2013 Guess what, it is amber. Nose is caramel malts, and very light hops, some stoast buscuit malts, toffee, a touch of roast. One demensional. Flavor is caramel malts, toasty, toffee, peanuts, pecans, and an earthy toasty/roasty malt shinanigan. Medium full body. A re-rate from draft. Still has too many malt flavors going.
