15th Annual Indiana Microbrewers Summer Fest 2010, Dry hopped at the Hopapalooza tent: Golden hue with a large frothy head. The aroma has notes of grassy and resiny hops, grapefruit and tangerine esters, basic 2-row malt and some peppery vapours. The taste starts bitter and fruity but is quite well balanced by the malt. Moderate hop spice and metallic notes found along with a hint of alcohol. The mouth feel is very aggressive and brash but at the same time nicely refreshing outside the linger metallic aftertaste. All in all a solid drinkable IPA. Not quite sure if I would want to wait in that line again for it however.

IPA has very good bitter taste to it that holds and has a nice finish. If you enjoy traditional IPAs this is for you .

Growler. Pours gold with a nice white head. Smells and tastes of sticky, resiny hops with lots of spicy elements and a solid peppery finish. Good seasonal from this brewer.

Growler from StFun, thanks Josh. Rating #34. Bright orange pour with a decent white head. Lots of pine , orange as well, more citrus as I keep smelling it. Medium bitterness, it sticks with you though, more citrus and a real good bit of carbonation, very nice IPA. (1198)

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber with a one finger white head. Aroma is sweet and floral with notes of citrus, grapefruit, honey, floral esters. Flavor is sweet and malty with notes of citrus, pine, light grapefruit. Medium body with a floral hop finish.

Had at a random bar near the hotel at my brother’s wedding in Indianapolis. Not one of their better offerings; was expecting more out of an IPA.

Tap at the brewpub. Hazy orangish red appearance. Nose is fresh hops, some pine and citrus...very inviting. Taste is enjoyably smooth for such a hopped up IPA. Good citrus, pine hop flavor. Easy to drink yet very bitter (in a good way) due to the massive amount of hops. I’d almost put this in the DIPA category, if it weren’t for the 7.5ABV. This is one of the best little known secrets in indy.

Pours rusty orange with some dirty white head. Soft grapefuit nose. Nice big citrus and pine. Medium to full body with a long bitter finish.

Growler courtesy of hopscotch. Pours clear copper with white head. The aroma is pretty malty with a bit of brown sugar and biscuit to go along with pine and spice hoppiness. The taste is a bit chewy with malt, creating a ‘yum’ sensation, with the additional layers of caramel and biscuit. A moment after the maltiness is fully realized smooth pine and spice hop bitterness even out the experience. It ends more refreshing than I thought it would with a pleasing level of hop bitterness and a mild amount of lingering chewy malts.
