3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask HP at The Webb Ellis Twickenham as Oakham Attila, 7.5%. Pale golden orange, translucent, still, foamy beige head. Aroma is gummy sweets, daquiri, rum. Body is smooth with tingly carbonation. Taste is quenching melon, haribo, gummy red lips sweets, sweet with some spicy white rum alcohol notes. Slow drinking but pleasurable all the while. Can’t imagine this shifting too quickly at a spoons pub, but very happy to see it here. The pump clip suggests it’s going to smash your head into two pieces...and it delivers.

Aroma of candied fruits, lemon, elderflower, some pineapple, a little grapefruit and slight summer berries. Taste of candied fruits, summer berries, pineapple, lemon, some elderflower, subtle caramel and alcohol. Full bodied and an oily texture. A sweet, fruity bitterness in the finish. Sweet and really fruity, definitely a sipper.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the Nags Head in Reading. Lightly hazy yellow-orange with a fair head. Very dry flavour with an element I hestitate to say of special brew, but also with a lime hop note to it. A touch medicinal! Tastes reasonable all told. Solid rather than must have.

Hand-pulled half-pint in The Pheasant, Wellington Shropshire on 25th Sep 2014. Pale golden body with a white crown. Fairly sweet yet citrusy feel to both the aroma and taste. Lemon and pineapple flavours combine and contradict each other while the alcohol hides in the background.
