Fruit notes and elder flower on aroma. Taste of ripe red berries and citrus fruit, with a long, bitter, fruity finish.

Cask, Charters, Peterborough (7.5%). Same pale shining clarity and frothy m/f as the Inferno somehow. Persistent and lacy. Drinks silkily like a Belgian. Nose of heady apple, citrus, custardy apple sauce sweetness. Nice. Lethally smooth concoction of lemony hop and creamy malt, with only a gnaw of almond hinting at the ABV. Still the signature crisp hopping shines through. One of the few genuinely nice cask English beers at this strength I’ve encountered.

Cask @ Olutexpo 2013<bt /> Aroma has caramel, sweet fruity notes and hints of biscuits. Flavour is harsh in a bitter way. It has some fruit candy, gooseberry bush notes, bitter herbs and hints of caramel. Odd.

A big beer for such a pale colour. I pretty much agree with Joeh on this one - definite Belgian tripel feel, with lots of resiny US style hops up front. Some sweet malt on the palate, but its not too sticky and there’s plenty of hop in there to provide balance throughout, finishing up with some citric bitterness too. Brash, but impressive. Cask (gravity dispense) at Bedford Beer Festival 2004.

UPDATED: NOV 2, 2013 Cask @ OlutExpo 2013, Helsinki. Rated on 19.10.2013. Pours a cloudy golden colour with a small white head. Aroma of grains, apricot, grass and alcohol. Flavour of grainy malts, grass, grains, citrus, bread and some tartness. Light bodied, soft carbonation and a citrusy tart finish. Weird.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at Fin’s excellent Merton Beer Festival.
Bright gold with a thin white head and good condition. The aroma is a fantastic blend of old school Tipex thinner, pear drops, massive fruity hops, plenty of sweet alcohol and yet a peppery dryness. Flavour is similar but just doesn’t quite sit right. Still good though and the alcohol is pretty wel hidden. Lots of pear in the finish with some eventual alcohol. Thick and juicy but not at all cloying. This split us all at the festival but I was one of those who really liked it.

Cask-conditioned at the Cambridgeshire & Lincolnshire Beeriodical, at the Seven Stars, Bristol, August 2012. Deep gold with a slight white head. Sweet, caramel and tropical fruit aroma with a touch of floral hop and warming alcohol. Flavour was also sweet and fruity, with a full mouth feel and alcohol heavy finish. Good, but a half pint was sufficient.

Cask. Golden color with medium creamy white head. Aroma of perfumed malt, citrus, pears, mango. Taste, sweet perfumed malt, citrus fruits, honey, piney hops. Long bitter sweet finish. Tasty. So far the best beer from event.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Golden-yellow with a thin head. Has a heavy smooth texture and a high sweet fruit aroma with tropical fruits dominant for its taste.
