Cask, Criterion, Leicester. Golden with a thin head. Aromas are herbal with lots of spices. Grapefruit and oranges with caramel base malts. Flavours are caramel and toffee malts with herbal and hoppy notes. A typically decent hoppy Oakham brew.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2010 Cask handpull, The Waggon and Horses, Halesowen. Tawny amber (for Oakham); all the pineapple and passion fruit goodness in the aroma you’d expect. Silky tropical hoppage, bags of lace, soft resinous citrus and creamy malt. Balanced and lovely.
