A strong premium beer of structured quality dominated by elaborate fruity hop notes, with a grainy background and dry finish.

Half pint @Castle Hotel, 04.Jul.2012 Clear hay coloured body, small dense head that diminishes and leaves a tiny layer. Hops, tangerines, flowers and fruit. Hint of coriander (?) in aroma, fresh oranges, snap peas, green grass and grain. Dry finish. Yummy!

Cask at The Merchants, Rugby (House beer). Light blond with a strong white head, Hop notes and very refreshing. I’ve never tried this before as its always on and a bit common, but was quite impressed. Very nice.

Not quite as pale as some of its ilk but still has a lagery appearance. Mouthfeel is rather thin for the gravity and finish is typically harsh and bitter. Pretty much an identikit citrusy beer which really doesn’t do anything for me.

Cask at the George, Croydon. It pours clear golden with a thick white head. The nose is fresh, doughy, toasty, floral, perfumed and citrus peel. The taste is crisp, bitter, lemon, grapefruit, floral, straw and light soap with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Balanced, tasty and crushable. Grade A golden.

At hop in York, lacking hoppiness for an oakham ale. Ok, but green devil and cites are better.

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2014 Really quite good. Will try again as drunk in a hurry. Nice taste and appearance. Good strength. Yes on second sample excellent. Usually like darker beers but well balanced. Nice citrus flavours.

Cask at JDW, Streatham Hill. Pours a pale gold hay colour with a white head. Floral, pleasantly zesty sherbet lemon aroma. Light body, light carbonation. Lemon candy, pine, grass, doughy white bread, light tangerine, orange zest... Tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask@Blue Stoops,Chesterfield. In a maket swamped with pale ales this offering is head and shoulders above most of the competition. Beautifully balanced with flavour and just the right amount of bitterness. As a general rule,I prefer darker beers but make no mistake, this is a fine ale.
