harrisoni (5359), Ashford, Kent, England Jun 30, 2005 Updated: Aug 13, 2007 Cask at Oakham Brewery Tap, Peterborough. One of my favourite all time beers. It is like the JHB with all of the citric hoppiness and tangerine/grapefruit, but there is more body and structure to this beer that makes this stunning. A really good beer
HogTownHarry (3285), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Sep 22, 2008 cask @ The Eagle (London - Old Street) First off, how unfair is it that THIS PLACE (essentially a wine bar now) has Sierra Nevada Pale Ale on tap and I can’t buy it in Ontario?!! Anyway. Slightly hazy light gold pour with an average creamy white head (normally a 3/5, but first pint of the day ...). Soft aroma of dried roses, slightly acidic, with a light cereal classic "golden ale" aroma. The taste follows, very soft, no alcohol presence at all, a good balance between soft light cereal malt and light floral bitterness. Soft, wheaty body, with mild floral astringency, leaves a dry finish on the tongue. Another excellent, if understated golden. MiP (6029), Flensburg, Germany Sep 9, 2008 Cask at GBBF08. OK fruity aroma. Almost clear shiny yellow colour. Very nice fruitiness in the flavour, flowery and slightly sweet. Refreshing and nice. bman1986 (90), Broadstairs, Kent, England Aug 18, 2008 Cask at The Fleur De Lis, Sandwich: Light grassy yellow. Very hoppy and light pale ale. Really refreshing and easy to drink. Top notch pale ale. ritchie666 (20), Tyne & Wear, England Aug 17, 2008 A lovely pale yellow beer with a nice crisp white head and a nose of sharp grapefruit and lemon turning to summery fruit in the mouth with an almost piney minty hop finish. Refreshing! berkshire_john (1106), Bracknell, Berkshire, England Aug 14, 2008 Cask at the Smithfield, Derby. Straw with a dense white head; fresh floral aroma; taste has herbal hops and powdered ginger, giving a long, warming, ginger finish. Very pleasant.
