Cask and bottle; Regular. 4.2% in cask.
The first of our single hop variety beers. We were the first brewery in the UK to use Citra. The beer proved so popular that we will be brewing it again. Permanent from January 2011.
A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.

Tropical aroma with a full on citrus and mango taste, as well as a bitter finish. One for hopheads! -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10

Bottle. Nose is grapefruit, , malt, slight cereal, faint hint of butterscotch. Taste is pleasingly bitter grapefruit, hint of lime, ripe lychee, almost a rye note, biscuit malt, and a herbal note. This is much better than I was expecting, very nice indeed.

Lots of nice fresh hop and sweet honey aromas. Very smooth drinking. Citrus, fresh dank hoppiness. Really wonderful tasting beer. Great tasting beer.

Grapefruit aroma but gooseberry taste. Pale yellow gold. Excellent of its type. If you are trying to draw a lager drinker into real ale this works.

Pours a golden yellow with initially foamy thick which head which settles down and leaves a lingering layer throughout. Aroma of graperuit, straw, lychee, fresh grass, mild biscuit malt and a note of herbal hop. Taste is wonderfully balanced mixture of sweet and dry bitter lingering on to the finish. Good tasting stuff with quite an oily mouth feel. A really nice beer and much better than I was expecting! Will definitely buy again

50 cl bottle @ home. Pours clear golden with a white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma and flavour are citrus, malt, straw, and hops - with a slightly bitter finish.

500ml Bottle from Bargain Booze, New Mills, Derbyshire. As the first British beer to use Citra hops I imagine this was pretty groundbreaking six years ago. But the gameís moved on a fair bit since then and Iíve drank a lot of beers like it. That said, itís still very enjoyable. Pours golden with frothy but quickly diminishing white head. Aroma is strong and fruity, lychees and grapefruit. Fruitiness is also very present in the flavour - understandable for single hopped citra - before a pleasantly dry finish. Only complaint is a certain, tricky to pin down, but slightly jarring skunkiness that comes through on the palate in the finish.

Medium strong hops smell, odd taste...has hops that are very prominent but not overwhelming... Like there are a lot of hops but they are weak...they donít linger very long at all and bitterness goes to back of throat as it finishes dry, one dimensional though and good if you like hops..

Draught at Cafe Langebro, Cph. Slightly hazy, golden colour with a creamy, white head. Fruity aroma with citrus fruits, pale malts, grasses and floral hops. Taste is bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and an average carbonation. Finishes dry and bitter with citrus fruits. Nice APA.
