3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
[Cask at the Chippenham Beer Festival] Pale yellow-gold with a light fizz. Big citrus aroma. Juicy grapefruit dominates the flavour, with some pine in their too. Cracking beer, could happily drink a few of these. So much better than the Dark Star APA Iíd had just before. c2

3.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask at the Salopian Bar, Shrewsbury. I really like this beer and it's a shame it's not more widely available. Light aroma, rocky head and some lacing. Lovely palate. The grapefruit flavour is really quite strong and the lingering bitter aftertaste means you won't forget this beer in a hurry. Don't serve it too warm and don't freeze it either!

Pale yellow one with a froathy stable white head. Citrussy aroma with some lemon peel, herbs. Easy bodied ale with a light resiny, more citrussy hop character, bittery aftertaste

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
500ml bottle from B&M Bargains (I got the last 2 in the store.) Served cold in a chalice. Hazy yellow colour with a white head that laces down the glass. Grapefruit is the predominant aroma with tropical fruit lurking in the background. Strongly reminiscent of Punk IPA in that sense, but able to stand proud on itís own as it has a more quaffable ABV, and the tropical fruit lends itself to a creamier palate texture. Plenty of bitter hops in the dry finish. Absolutely lovely, oops, thereís the first bottle gone! LATER: After further prompting from my taste buds memory, and a search of my previous ratings, Iím going to compare this to Thornbridge Kipling. Delicious.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle (B&M Bargains, £1.35):
Citrus, some bitter hops and a touch of pine. There is also a well balanced grapefruit aroma that isnít overly bitter and this is coupled with an orange and lemon citrus smell that is very appealing.
Hazy and light golden to yellow colour with a foamy white head that is about half a centimetre tall and stays the same for upwards of a few minutes.
Bitter citrus and grapefruit combination, although this isnít quite as bitter as I was expecting which isnít necessarily a bad thing. There is also a nice fruity flavour to it with some orange and lemon, more citrus and a touch of lime for good measure.
Light medium in body, maybe just a little thinner than I would have like but not really much of a complaint. It is quite bitter and juicy with a smooth, crisp finish and mild carbonation that make for a refreshing beer.
Very enjoyable indeed and not at all what I had been expecting. A great grapefruit bitterness that isnít too strong and with a nice look and feel to it. The smell was great though.

Aroma has rather nice hops with exotic fruits and some gooseberry bush. Also some lager-like grainy malt. Flavour has hops, fruits, some gooseberry bush and hay. Also some elements from a lager are present. Good APA, although a bit thin and watery.
