The first of our single hop variety beers. We were the first brewery in the UK to use Citra. The beer proved so popular that we will be brewing it again. Permanent from January 2011.
A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour, small but lasting white head with some lacing. Aroma is very hoppy - purely tart citrus fruits - grapefruit, orange rind, mango, some floral. Flavour is refreshingly citric, if a little overpowering in that respect. Low carbonation so a nice mouthfeel. Bittersweet citrus finish.

On cask at the old bell, Edinburgh. No carbonation but retains head reasonably well. Pale slight haze. Easy drinking grassy, perfumed bitter finish. Good session ale at 4.2%. Aroma wash enter yet enticing with clear citra bittersweet notes.

Dourado escuro, translúcida. Espuma de media formação e pouca retenção. Aroma de lúpulo presente, tendendo para terroso, dulçor remete a lichia. Sabor levemente frutado, amargor leve, dulçor marginal. Corpo e carbonatação leves. Aftertaste refrescante, lupulado, final um pouco seco.

Light, bright orange with a thin crisp white head. A slight floral hop aroma mixed with some bubblegum and sweet butterscotch. Very light and refreshing as per the bottle’s promise - a bitterness that runs throughout, but no real dominant flavour as such. Very crisp finish and good carbination. Aroma and appearance had my hopes up high but the flavour failed to match.

33cl bottle@ Athens Craft Beer Expo (Zythognosia), during a food+beer pairing workshop. Was superbly paired with Secreto Imperico pork pancetta marinated into caramelized malts and coated with coffee beans, over a malt cookie. Pours dark orange with rich off-white head, good lacing, medium body. Beautiful aromas of citrus, orange peel, fruits, floral. Hoppy in general, with hints of cookies, caramel and malts on the tongue. A great IPA, and a mouth-watering pairing. Excellent experience! This week on tap @Pulp Pub, Koukaki. I’d love to have another pint!
