3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUL 4, 2012 28/VI/2012 - 50cl bottle from The Bottleshop (Canterbury) @ Klaas’ place - BB: 6/X/12 (2012-662)
Clear bright yellow to light green beer, small aery off-white to yellowish head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: exotic fruits, pineapple, some passion fruit, pretty piny, bit cheesy, citrus fruits. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: oh it’s English all right! Pretty citric start, bitter hops, then that typical English yeast flavour, bit dusty, malts, pretty fruity, liychees, some yoghurt, citrus peel. Aftertaste: pretty bitter hops, citrus, grapefruit, very bitter ending. Typical English flavour beside the American hops.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. Lots of hops, pine and grapefruits in the aroma and lost of the same hoppiness in the taste, with a medium carbonation and some biscuity maltiness working well with it. Bit of a bready taste to it as well, may have to do with the wheat being used in this beer. There is a very slight unpleasant quality about the taste tho, something like... Frowst, mustiness or even a bit of skunk. The beer may have suffered from the long travel through Poland, and from what I’ve heard, it’s definitely best when it’s fresh and on tap - so I’m not gonna be too harsh about that thing. It’s was still a really good beer.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma: Nice fruity aroma - lemon and grapefruit.
Appearance: Slightly hazy, yellow-golden body. Thin white head that fades quickly to nothing. No lacing.
Taste: Pronounced citrus notes. Hoppy, bitter finish that’s perhaps a tad on the harsh side. Lovely flavour for such a low ABV.
Palate: Thin, watery body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: On the plus, it’s very juicy, refreshing and bitter. On the downside, the mouthfeel is quite watery and the bitterness is slightly harsh. It’s similar to Thornbridge’s Kipling and BrewDog’s Dead Pony Club.
