The first of our single hop variety beers. We were the first brewery in the UK to use Citra. The beer proved so popular that we will be brewing it again. Permanent from January 2011.
A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.

Very clear with a quickly disappearing small head. Typical Citra fruity aroma (grapefruit), but not overwhelming. Quite sweet on the taste at first, followed by the hop and a a refreshing bitterness on the finish. Conclusion: well-made, balanced, low-alcohol, but tasteful beer. Good summer drinking beer.

Light straw color, brilliantly clear, fluffy white head, that faded quickly. Aroma is pine and passion fruit with some honey malt notes. Flavor is passionfruit with some cracker like malt in the background. Medium body with a silky mouth feel, medium carbonation. Really nice APA.

500ml bottle from LCBO. Clear gold. Quick frothy white head. Low carbonation. Aroma is cereal, some gras and lemon, hints of floral. Light body. Smooth, not challenging. Malty, cereal backbone. Clean finish. Pleasant. Very sessionable and refreshing.

I could smash this bad boy all night long. It looks like an insipid beer at first glancebut the aroma is pleasant, combining citrus, dirt, smoke and a little marshmallow. The taste is predominantly hops. It wouldn’t hurt to give it a little more malt, but it is very sessionable.

LCBO arrival. The good: lemony orange hop aroma. Very sessionable and drinkable. Not so much: yellow body though spider head, and dry dry finish.

500 mL bottle from LCBO served cool in a tulip glass. Clear light golden with a decent bright white head. Wow...great job extracting the best of Citra, big trial fruit aroma, just as promised by the label...lychee, gooseberry, etc with plenty if lovely grapefruit, a touch of cat pee, pungent, juicy and fruity, light grainy malt. Medium-ish body with relaxed carbonation. Somewhat sharp cities, tropical fruits, resin, grapefruit peel, a bit of cat pee, quite nicely executed; dry with nice bitterness and a juicy, fruity finish. I was looking forward to this and wasn?t disappointed!

[Bottle (500ml)] Pours a clear, bubbly pale gold with an average size long-lasting frothy off-white head. Some minimal lacing. Nice aroma of bready malt, Citra hops, fruit and a hint of herbs & spices. Slightly watery but pleasant flavour of citra hops, bready malt, a hint of herbs, some honey, fruit and a long moderate bitter finish. Average bodied. Really easy to drink and enjoyable.

500ml bottle. Pours s crystal clear, pale yellow with a one finger, white head. Slight carbonation rising. Aroma is hoppy and light with notes of citrus and faint bread. Taste is slightly bitter with lots of orange citrus and a slight biscuit and caramel. Low-medium body and carbonation. Overall a nice session beer. Lots of flavour and balanced out well.

500ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours a very clear, very pale gold with a small white head that fades quickly. Nose is big floral and citrus. Good bitterness throughout with grapefruit and some berry dominant. Mouth is a bit thin and carbonation is a bit soft. Long bitter finish. Drinks more like a session.
