Cask and bottle; Regular. 4.2% in cask.
The first of our single hop variety beers. We were the first brewery in the UK to use Citra. The beer proved so popular that we will be brewing it again. Permanent from January 2011.
A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.

Bottle at home in garden, 20th July 13. From waitrose. Not sure why its taken me so long to try this one. Very drinkable, lots of flavour, citrus hops come through nicely, great session beer

Pint in Blackfriars, Glasgow. Pale straw on the eye. Floral on the nose. Bitter citrus on the tongue. Bitter, flowery aftertaste. Quite refreshing. Would go well with crisps or nuts.

On draught from The Malt Shovel, Northampton & bottle from B&M. A wonderful anti-dote to cider or lager on a hot summer’s day. Full of hops, incredibly refreshing and a good strength. Just as good in bottle as it is on draught. One’s just not enough, love it.

My Bottom Line:
Starfruit and lychee fruitiness are a tad scarred by hard minerals, as light honey leads to resinous bitterness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the whitish blond.
-Mouthfeel properly emulates that of a cask, so very well done there.
-Malts are rather shy in the flavour profile.
-The finish is on the dry side, increasing drinkability.
-Hops are also floral throughout.

Bottle from CbC. Had not seen this anywhere else and was happy to find a new English beer that I was actually excited to drink. Pours a lighter hazy orange golden with a medium sized white head and steady lightly sticky lacing. Nose is fresh and citrusy; light earth, biscuit malts, light butter. Flavor is similar; super clean, lots of earthy citrus, floral notes, medium bitter finish. Very solid.

Pours flat and clear, very light, low carbonation. Smells fruity, high freshness, citrus and pine. Taste is very refreshing, with lemon, grapefruit, light pine needles, green apples, pineapple. Great balance. Wonderful! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear golden color, weak head, strong citrus and sweet tropical fruit aromas with a hint of wormwood, very refreshing. Bitter, but not annoyingly too high. Recommended.
