COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask and bottle; Regular. 4.2% in cask.
The first of our single hop variety beers. We were the first brewery in the UK to use Citra. The beer proved so popular that we will be brewing it again. Permanent from January 2011.
A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.

Golden yellow beer with small but nice looking white head. I love the fruity and hoppy aroma. Taste is quite bitter: grape fruit, pine needles... The body is quite light but not too thin. It’s quite refreshing actually - good for thirst. An excellent beer to buy from a Finnish supermarket.

Cask, at the Butchers Arms, Herne. Golden pale ale, small head. Lovely Citra aroma of pink grapefruit, hint of mango. Flavour more of the same, pronounced citrus bitterness, hint of grass, string pink grapefruit flavour, bit of mango, lychee... delicious. Very refreshing, couple of pints went down very easily.

Bottle shared with Sarah during our last night in London. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a good amount of citrus with a bit of grassy hops and a good amount of earthy grains backing. Flavor starts with light citrus but is mainly light grass and earthy grains throughout, a bit thin.

Bottle. Clear, golden yellow colour with a small, tiny white head. It has moderate hoppy citrusy aroma, mostly of grapefruit and also some spice and hay notes. Flavor is moderate bitter and has nice dry, bitter finish.

Pale straw color. Big white head with a good bit of lacing. Big citrus aroma with a bit of malty goodness. Very malty flavor with a small amount of citrus. A bit bready and a small amount of cereal. Nice sweetness and a nuttiness. Very good.

[cask at Cloisters, Edinburgh] Clear gold, sings from the glass. Aroma of citrussy grapefruit and lemon, sweet lychee and pineapple. Wonderful flavour – all the fruits listed on the aroma. Seriously, you could drink this all day. Not surprising, given the relationship between the two breweries, but this could be every bit as good as Fyne Ales’ Jarl [21102012]

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2013 500ml bottle. Pours clear amber with a good white head. Lovely Zesty and uncomplicated aroma. Heavy grapefruit flavours with hints of gooseberry and some floral notes leading to a strong bitter finish. Malt flavours barely register. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. It might not be hugely complex but it is immensely refreshing and totally delicious. I could drink this all day.
