COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask and bottle; Regular. 4.2% in cask.
The first of our single hop variety beers. We were the first brewery in the UK to use Citra. The beer proved so popular that we will be brewing it again. Permanent from January 2011.
A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.

Cask - Light sweet grapefruit and some nice tropical fruit. Pale clear gold with no head. Grapefruit and some earthy Notes, with a nice balanced bitterness, Much different than American Citra ales, but quite nice and sessionable.

500ml bottle from Waitrose. Small white head, great lacing. Clear golden body. Massive tropical fruity nose, lychee, grapefruit, lemon. Flavour is less in your face but still loads of it, mango, gooseberry and grapefruit. Good malt backbone but hops to the fore. Gentle bitterness on the finish, intensifies as it lingers. Light carbonation, a little oily, good thickness. The Citra really shines here, a great single hop beer.

This is in my top ten of beers if you like IPA style and the APA influence on that style. Great draught in the Wellington in Brum.

Svetle pivo s fantastickou kvetovo citrusovou vonou a az neuveritelnou horkostou. Moje prve s chmelom Citra a musim povedat ze ma velmi oslovilo. Svetlo zlta farba, cista a iskriva. Naozaj podarene letne pivo.

This has always been a go-to beer for me when I have to go to a certain Supermarket. Itís a really nice golden colour, decent white head too. Aroma is of lychee, lemon, lime and tropical fruits. Taste is a massive hit of citrus and with a nice fruity middle and decently bitter finish. Itís really brilliant when cold, but also top notch when on cask (itís a permanent fixture at the Wellington in Birmingham) A stonking British beer from an excellent brewery.

Not much more to add about this monster, if itís served at its best, itís nearly unbeatable. Craft at Clerkenwell got through a barrel in 2 hours a while back

2014-06-28. Crisp dark yellow body with a small white head and nice lace. 3+ Aroma is mild, moderate lemon and citrus. 7+ Flavour is similar, moderate bitterness throughout nice lemon and lemon peel citrus. Lemon grows as it warms, to its benefit. Average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Nice. Cask at Bon Accord, Glasgow.
