The first of our single hop variety beers. We were the first brewery in the UK to use Citra. The beer proved so popular that we will be brewing it again. Permanent from January 2011.
A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.

Purchased a few bottles of this from a discount shop. Had previously had this on cask. A very impressive ísessioní beer with lots of flavour. Citrus based taste, but not overpowering. Just as enjoyable in bottle form as it is from a pint glass in a pub. Easy to drink - no overt after taste - not fizzy. Highly recommended.

500ml bottle. Clear Gold colour, small mostly vanishing white head, little lacing. Aroma is sweetish moderate to heavy tropical fruit and citric hops with some bisquity malt. Taste is moderately sweet at first turning into a lingering bitter finish with a mineral feel. Light to medium body, average carbonation slck mouthfeel. One of the better single-hop Citra ales I recently tasted.

Grassy, hoppy beer thatís fast becoming a supermarket standard yet still tastes like a micro. Fresh, windows-open aroma with a taste that isnít over-hopped but still packs enough punch to appeal to craft-heads and just tame enough (just) to appeal to Stella lovers. Lovely white head, lychees, kiwi, gooseberry and limes in the mix, the sort of beer you can quaff again and again, either on tap or from the bottle. A winner, one of the UKís most deserving beers.
