COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask and bottle; Regular. 4.2% in cask.
The first of our single hop variety beers. We were the first brewery in the UK to use Citra. The beer proved so popular that we will be brewing it again. Permanent from January 2011.
A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.

500ml bottle. Clear pale yellow body, small white head with poor retention. Aroma is Citra at its best: peaches, apricots, pineapple, muscat grapes, honey and camp flowers. Taste moderate resinous notes, grapefruit zest, herbal, a touch of lemon, grapes.

500 mL bottle. Pours clean straw with a light white head. Lychee on the nose, some citrus zest, bready malt, light toffee and a touch of resin. Mildly sweet and malty but balanced out to finish slightly bitter. Well rounded and painfully sessionable. Light bodied and light on carbonation too. Smooth and creamy on the palate. I was expecting an overdone session IPA style beer with one note of Citra only, but this is really enjoyable and subtle.

Opaque gold with a foamy good white head. Smells good like danky awesome hops. Starts with a refreshing bite and tastes like oak, grapefruit, lychee and English malt. Smooth and sessionable. Awesome for a light beer.

This single hop beer gas a light golden colour and a firm white head. The aroma and taste are immensely refreshing and zesty, arising from the use of Citra hops. As the label says, the taste is an intriguing mixture of 'grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry', which correctly identifies the citrus and tropical fruit flavours here. The finish is long and dry. This is a truly refreshing beer, which makes one want to go back for more!

500 ml. bottle best before 3/31/15. It pours a super clear gold color with a disappearing white head. The aroma is mildly sweet with some grapefruit, apricot and gooseberries with some noticeable dank wet grass and hints of biscuit and grainy malt. The flavor is nice with a bit of bready and biscuity malt that supports the big hop flavors of grass, passionfruit, white grape and some dank in the finish. Medium bitterness. Really tasty and well made.

pale, golden, clear, minimal head, medium bitterness, lightly sour, light body, soft carbonation, thin feel, bitter, didn’t like this as I thought it was rather lacking in taste due to the presence of only one hop citra. from waitrose for £1.97.
