The first of our single hop variety beers. We were the first brewery in the UK to use Citra. The beer proved so popular that we will be brewing it again. Permanent from January 2011.
A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.

APPEARANCE: Clear golden color with good thick white head the settled to pencil thin and lasted most the way through the beer. AROMA: Hop forward with citra playing the star role. Citrus and herb notes supported by some malt. TASTE: Hoppy flavor upfront again with the Citrus notes and some floral notes. Malt flavors support the overall beer on the back of the palate. PALATE: A Light bodied beer with low carbonation. Finish is dry and refreshing. OVERALL: A good English take of an American style IPA

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, thick, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity hoppy aroma with a touch of herbs and shrubs, notes of black currant, gooseberry, elderberry. Taste delivers a bitter-herbal mixture of the very same flavours, incorporated by a minimally sweet pale malty basis; minimally chalky, mineral finish. Soft palate with excellent, gentle carbonation.

Bottle opened at Prima Beer, Hobro. Pours hazy amber with small white head. Clear aroma of hops, with notes of malt and citrus. Intense, bitter flavour of Citra hops, with notes of grass and touches of malt. Bitter aftertaste with notes of citrus amd grass. Well-balanced and very enjoyable. Decemt stuff.

500ml bottle from Waitrose. Promises something at first, then disappoints. Quite pert but not enough character to warrant interest. Just boring really... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Drank from a bottle. Nice and fresh. Not too bitter but still feels like an ipa. Looks nice and hazy.
