COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask and bottle; Regular. 4.2% in cask.
The first of our single hop variety beers. We were the first brewery in the UK to use Citra. The beer proved so popular that we will be brewing it again. Permanent from January 2011.
A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.

Bottled. Pale yellow, small head. Aroma of tangerine and lemon. Dry with light body and crisp mouthfeel. Zesty and grassy, citrus and bread. Really bitter finish.

500ml bottle from b&m. Golden yellow colour, with a slight head. Aroma has loads of citrus, and tropical fruits. Taste as the aroma, sweetish, with dry bitter finish. Great hops on this one.

Citra has become my quaffing beer of choice at the moment. Primarily because my local keeps it so well. Draught of course, not bottled. Only problem is that its so strong tasting (of citra) that its a waste of time trying any other beer afterwards - it’ll be tasteless.

0.5 litre bottle from Waitrose. Pours clear orange amber with minimal head that dies quickly. Aroma is citrus, hint of pine, mango, hops and malt. Flavour is a moderate bitterness that is short lived. Light body with moderate carbonation.

A very refreshing beer, clear crisp and clean. Mild amount of citrus - more would be great! Light hoppiness, a better head would be good aswell.

500ml bottle from Waitrose. Pours a clear, golden yellow. Very clean on the palate. Refreshing beer with lots of citrus bunch and a balanced bitter aftertaste. Nice balanced beer - one for the sunshine.

0,5L bottle, BB 05.11.2014. Pours pale golden with white head. The lacing is nice. Aroma is cat piss, pine, and mango. Taste: resin, slightly sweet, watery, and fruity. Overall: It’s drinkable, but there is nothing exciting or interesting here. I tasted several other beers at the same day and it was the worst one. Maybe in some other day it would get higher rating, but not this time.

Bottle shared by martjoobolut, thanks! Clear golden, soapy white head. Pretty nice lacing. Nose is mango, oranges, malt, slight perfume. Taste is grassy, fruity, hops, pine, some malt. Dry finish with a fair amount of hops. Thin body, soft carbonation.

Straw. Heavy citra aroma, fruity citra taste. Decent bitterness and hardly any malt character.
