Cask and bottle; Regular. 4.2% in cask.
The first of our single hop variety beers. We were the first brewery in the UK to use Citra. The beer proved so popular that we will be brewing it again. Permanent from January 2011.
A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.

500 ml bottle. Hazy pale yelow color with small white head. Very distinct fruity hops aroma (citrus and lychee). Refreshing flavour of citrus, a bit bitter and very dry hoppy finish. Very refreshing with a distinct aroma.

Grainy starts but luckily lots of citra hop aromas. Drinks better than the one sided aroma, with juicy bitterness and high drinkability due to the soft yet not boring yeast. Enjoyable but really simple starter. (Bottle from Wine Rack Leeds)

Light in color, almost like a lager. Almost no head and foam dies quickly. Nose is hops and taste is hop with notes of grapes and a bitter finish. Not a beer I would drink many of, but interesting that they use single hop.

(bottle 10/04-2015) low white head, clear yellow color, slightly odd hoppy aroma, some bitterness, hoppy taste, some brew error just like Midtfyn for a few years ago.

Cask / Fat Cat / Colchester / Ł3.30 Little to no head. Strong tropical fruit aroma. The taste is refreshing, crisp & full of citrus hop flavour. A really good beer, one I’d love to have at my local year round!

Bottled. Clear, pale amber with a minimal off-white head. Citrus and pine on the nose, with a strong funk of hops. Silky smooth in the mouth; warm with a hint of fruit, then a very dry, not-too-bitter finish. Very good.
