COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask and bottle; Regular. 4.2% in cask.
The first of our single hop variety beers. We were the first brewery in the UK to use Citra. The beer proved so popular that we will be brewing it again. Permanent from January 2011.
A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.

Lots of fruit aromas with a very intense sent and palate of peaches and citrus. Lovely golden color with short lived head. Lots of floral hops and hay on the palate. Hop bitterness is moderate and short lived.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2011 Bottle from Utobeer Market Stall. Cloudy pale yellow colour, not much head. Strong citrus & tropical fruit aroma & flavour. Watery, bitter aftertaste. More of a blonde ale rather than an American Pale Ale.

Aroma fantastico con nette note fruttate (frutti tropicali in psrticolare) e luppolate. In bocca é gradevolmente amara, rimane equilibrata ma con un complessità elevata vista la bassa gradazione. Ottima.

Bottle 50 cl. Poured clear pale golden colour with white fluffy head. Leaves a nice lacing on the glass. Great grassy hops aroma. Lots of fruits and berries in aroma too. Flavour is loads of citrus and grassy hops, also some light bready malt taste. Wild strawberry flavour comes to mind as well. Lots of things going on in this brew. Slightly bitter and grassy/citrus finish. Very delicious taste. Excellent!

UPDATED: OCT 27, 2011 On cask at Cloisters, Edinburgh. Beautiful beer. Lots of grapefruit and passionfruit on the nose. A nice bitter, floral taste. Superb beer. I must admit, I prefered the Nelson Sauvin single hop but the Citra surely deserves extra points for the green man on the label! Had this in a bottle also. 500ml bottle, Best before 22032012. Abv slightly higher at 4.6%. Pours a slightly hazy light blonde colour, head dies to thin white lacing. Very nice! (9,2,8,4,17).

Cask conditioned at Merton Beer Fest ’11 with Fin & Hughie. Pale gold with white head. Intense citric start, bitter lemons and grapefruit, the lemon was like the Moroccan preserved variety you get in bottles. This all leads to a dry, bitter, big finish, tangy and lasting on the palate. Cracking beer.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2010. Very pale gold, very thin bubbly white head. Distinctive citrus, hop aroma. Lovely finish good biting bitterness. Just gorgeous, it’s light, lovely, lovley hop, dry, a little grassy. Great finish, great condition, beer of the festival.

A Mes rate. Cask in the Barton Arms.
Fuck me, what a great start to the day. This one really has got the lot. Perfect clean gold, very good bright white head and in utterly glorious condition. Pungent Citra aroma with a really good earthy malt base. All the same in the mouth. Fantastic lemon and grapefruit, glorious bitterness and just bloody adorable all round. Love it.

Cask at Cambridge Blue, Cambridge UK on 26th November 2010. Pale gold with thin lacing white head. Hoppy aroma; grapefruit that builds into a strong citric in-mouth taste backed up by hempy grassiness. A herby, grassy finish on a zingy mouthfeel. Excellent.
