COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask and bottle; Regular. 4.2% in cask.
The first of our single hop variety beers. We were the first brewery in the UK to use Citra. The beer proved so popular that we will be brewing it again. Permanent from January 2011.
A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.

Cask. Pour was medium golden with a nice white frothy head. Aroma was strong with citrus, fruit, pineapple, and hop bitterness. This aroma was one of the best I have ever smelled. Though it was a bitter, the flavor was quite hoppy, but real well balanced with smooth bitterness and some light malt characters. This was a fine brew.

Smells very much of special herbs. Light and fruity but still solid robust malty to back it up.

Draught at Frb ølbar, Cph. Gooseberry, mandarin must. Strong taste of the hops with a good backbone of malts. Crisp and dry mouthfeel and it finishes well in a combination of dry hops and bready malts. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Really a lot of grapefruit in this one. Which is nice, as Borat would say. Aroma is for me a mixed bag: the citrus and grapefruit invite to taste, but they’re also so strong that it reminds me a bit of the smell you get from the inner rubber of your bicycle tire. However, once you taste it, it’s just rich in citrus and grapefruit, and after each sip a very good aftertaste of grapefruit. A good beer!

500ml bottle. 24-02-2015. BBD: Nov 2015.
Courtesy of David Bruce. In short: citrusy pale ale.
Pours quite clear deep gold with little white head. Short head retention, poor lacing. Citrusy, herbal and malty aromas. Medium body, average carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is herbal, citrusy, intended american profiled, but still a lot of distinctive british character. Enjoyable.

On tap at The Wellington, Birmingham Pours clear gold colour with a single finger white head. Aroma of grapefruit, lemon, orange, lychee, grass. Initial taste of biscuit and caramel then we have a whack of grapefruit, grass, lemon, orange, gooseberry, lychee. A touch of Pine too. One of the best PA’s out there!
