Cask and bottle; Regular. 4.2% in cask.
The first of our single hop variety beers. We were the first brewery in the UK to use Citra. The beer proved so popular that we will be brewing it again. Permanent from January 2011.
A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours lightly hazed clear gold with decent white head, with some lace. Aromas of oats, pine, citrus, lychees and grass over a light malt toffee canvas. Medium light body, med-high carbonation; hints of toasted malts, sweet light caramel but citrus and lychees round out the hop flavour, finishing light refreshing and hoppy.

Cask at brewery Yet another smash brew from these guys. Pours bright lite orange hue with a nice rocky head and good lacing. Nose is big citra hops very piney and somewhat grassy. Flavors are very grassy lite resin very piney. Lovery the gin like undertone in the hop profile. Fantastic. Finish is very dry lots of lingering bitterness. Cramming so much flavor into such small beers at this place.

500 ml bottle, bb 30 Sep 16. Courtesy of Werckmeister, thanks!
Amber, clear body, with a small, fluffy, off-white head.
Aroma of citrus, grass, orange, passion fruit, some onion, candy.
Tastes of citrus, grapefruit, pine, grass, some tropical fruits, candy.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes medium bitter, medium dry, lingering piney, zesty, citric, a bit herbal.

Very nice. Easy and refreshing, with lots of citric notes and a lovely pine flash in the finish. The nose has some herbal/onion notes I don’t like very much, while it is still good. Maybe not the freshest bottle. Taste is cleaner, a bit lighter though, but very good for the ABV. Enjoyable stuff overall.

0.5 l bottle from K-Citymarket Ruoholahti, Helsinki. Aroma has citrus. Visually clear and golden no head. Taste has citrus, more specifically grapfruit. That was expected since this is all about citra. This is still quite balanced, not too much hops.

The beer pours a translucent pale gold colour with a bubbly snow white head that lasts a while. The aroma is grains, citrusy hops, and weak spices. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grans with weak grapefruity hops, some earthy hops are noticeable as well. Good summer beer.

Purchased a few bottles of this from a discount shop. Had previously had this on cask. A very impressive ’session’ beer with lots of flavour. Citrus based taste, but not overpowering. Just as enjoyable in bottle form as it is from a pint glass in a pub. Easy to drink - no overt after taste - not fizzy. Highly recommended.
