Aroma is lacking somewhat, but i can feel the hop resins and toffee malt character trying to be goose island IPA. Taste is initially malty, toffee, then the bursting citrus hop resin kicks in, followed by caramel and lychee flavours in a bitter finish. Excellent beer. Infact i recon in better condition that i put it in myself, outstanding. maeib (4776), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England

An amber coloured beer with a loose white head. The aroma is spicy and almost grassy. No doubt hoppy. The taste has a good malt backbone behind some sharp grapfruit notes and a little spiciness. Another tasty offering from Oakham. albertane (376), Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England

Deep copper, lots of frothy white head that lasts and lasts. Perfumey grapefruit and cinnamon aroma, blending well with a warm caramel touch. Citrus, white wine grape hop flavor, solid malty goodness backbone. Kind of a lingering animal musky quality. Nice substantial body, and spilling over with flavor goodness. One of the beers of the festival I had to go back and get a repeat on. Yum! Fin (3495), Merton, Oxfordshire, England

Punchy citrus hits you with a left hook, then the bitterness which coats your tongue and hangs around for ever delivers a devastating right uppercut. Your left reeling before that long, long, hoppy tropical fruit finish delivers the body blow. Oakham don’t do things by half this is great, the Japanese Sorachi Ace hop along with American duo of Amarillo and Cluster hops provide one very interesting beer. imdownthepub (5190), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England

Another great beer from Oakham, darker roasted then regular hoppy beers with a smokey note to the malt, fruity and beery!. Aparantly this uses Japanes hops along with a mix of cluster and Amarillo and it really does showcase the hops well, orange and kiwi fruit to me. I loved this one too. Smells like buns, fresh dark bread. Not too strong aroma though. Taste a bit weak as well, but the finish is long and hoppy. FatPhil (3527), Espoo, Finland

Fairly deep red, thin head. Rather odd combination of aromas. Tropical fruits and a light smoky or dusty component. Grapefruity citrus and lychees in the taste, as well as a decent beery body, of course. Hoppy and sweet; powerful but quite well balanced. Classic Oakham hoppy brew.
