Cask at CBC, Brixton. Pour an amber colour with a thin white head. Sweet, sherry aroma with caramel too. Medium body with sherry in the flavour alongside some toffee, toast, burnt caramel, booze, a hint of citrus. It's rich and flavoursome. Pretty good.

(Cask at The Rake, Borough, London, 27 Apr 2013) Dark amber colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, toast, orange and dried apricots. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, dried fruit, apricots, orange marmalade and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain malt sweetness. A bit strong, but quite well balanced and tasty. Nice one.

Cask @ Oaka. The pour’s a deep ruby amber color with a tiny off-white head. The nose is pine resin, strawberry, some forest fruits. Light summery pacific vibes. The taste is sticky sweet caramel and toffee. Pine cone. Hints of citrus. More robust strawberry and summery fruits salad. Slightly syrupy. Medium body, fine carbonation. Overall, quite good.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
[cask at Cloisters, Edinburgh] Firstly, this beer pours with a lovely colour – ruby and port-like, with a large, cream-coloured head. The aroma is sweet passion fruit, mango, bready malt and pepper – which I wasn’t expecting. I got pepper on the taste too, and had to look it up – seemingly it has paprika added, which certainly explains the colour. The fruity hop combines really well with the pepperyness, which prickles that back of your mouth. There’s sweet caramel malt in there as well – the three elements are blended really very well indeed

Cask by handpump at Cloisters, Edinburgh - clear brown, thin off-white head, no bubbles, fruity and sweet malt aroma and flavour, too strong for a session beer but very easy to drink
