Cask; Seasonal - July & August.
This light and refreshing summer beer begins with fruity nose and taste before an endless wave of grapefruit bitterness comes and wipes you out.

Straw. Very weedy aroma. A dash of pale malt. Spicy and a bit citrusy. Lots of hops. Great summer beer.

Beese (1099) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 15, 2013
Cask at St Albans Beer Festival 2013. Poured a really cloudy yellow colour with a scummy white colour, really unappealing. Aroma of straw, bread and candy sugar. Tasted a little like orange squash with some grassy hops and yeasty notes. Palate was thin and watery with some hints of wheat, light hop resin and a metallic edge. Don’t imagine it was supposed to taste or look like this.

BeerViking (2084) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 2, 2013
Cask at the Magpie, light blond with a fluffy white head, nice floral and herbal hop nose, hop-forward on the palate, floral and a touch citrus, a little fruit then a sharp bitterness in the late body and aftertaste overwhelms the rest.

Cask at the St Albans beer festival 2013. Really cloudy scummy white head. Aroma is wheaty bread. Some grassy hop. Flavour follows with spicy hop. Slight tang.

Half pint, cask handpulled at Dagda Bar. Pale yellow body, bubbly low head, fragile lacing. Grass, lemon and dusty hops on the nose. Summer fruity flavours, fresh citrus joined by mild malty sweetness leading to a nice bittersweet ending. Not too thin at all. Refreshing, indeed (Edinburgh 10.08.2013).

Cask at Cambridge Blue. It pours pale golden yellow with a small white head. The nose is straw, grain, grass and a touch of lemon. The taste is crisp, grassy bitterness, straw, pithy lemon and light peppery notes with a dry finish. Light body and soft carbonation. Easy-going session ale.

August 20, 2013 - on hand-pull at Old Fountain. Pear And light grassy Bitterness. Taste follows, a bit more fruit. Light body, mild carbonation And simple finish. Decent, not interesting.

Cask @ The Golden Rule, Edinburgh [020813]
Light golden, clear, dense thin white head
Aroma of light citrus, soft fruits, light apricot, little on the nose
Taste of soft citrus hops, light apricot, soft floral hops, light sweet pale malt background, the bitterness is spoiling the taste
Palate = Thinnish body, quite oily. Finish of soft fruits, very bitter paracetamol linger which i’m not liking
Overall - Not impressed by this. Will re-review because condition is probably suspect

Cask @ Blackfriars. Pale golden yellow, decent head. Resin & citrus fruit aroma. Biscuit resin and citrus fruit flavour. Bitter lemon & grapefruit aftertaste. A classic light refreshing summer ale.
