Nose doesn’t prepare you for the massive citra hit! Lovely. Quite malty but balanced with powerful hoppyness.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
My Bottom Line:
In this dazzling New World-style IPA citrusy hop resins tango over delicately honeyed cereals, dreaming of flowers blooming in the forest.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy head of foam protects the clear golden, drawing some lacing.
-The aftertaste is wonderfully coniferous, and never too brash to make the next sip smaller.
-Drinkability is very high for a 6% brew.
-Carbonation is mild and the body slick.
-The bartender smiled proudly when I ordered my pint… I could tell he was about to drool all over a pint of his own as soon as his shift was over. ☺

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled, 0.66l. Slightly hazy golden color with medium frothy white head and lively bubbles. Aroma of spicy hops, tropical fruits like lychee and passion fruit plus some biscuity malt. Taste starts swet malty and fruity, while followed by tart citrus notes. Mouthfeel is crisp and mild spicy, finish is strong bitter which quickly becomes into bloody harsh hoppiness. Full body, thick texture and average carbonation in palate. Green hoppy devil takes care for my grimacing :)

May 2013 - Cold bottle. Smell is understated tropical fruits, big white enduring head, orange with lots of bubbles. Grapefruit to start, with a smokey lager finish. Biscuity. Not bad. (3.7)
Feb 2014 - Cask at JDW Twickenham. Golden yellow, clear, still, small bubbly white head. Smell - dry chemically hoppiness, caramelised fruits. Body is medium. Taste - lots of gooseberry with an assertive, musty, saaz-like bitterness to finish. (3.6)

Pours amber with a quickly fading head.
Nose shows floral hops, orange and marmalade, soft light malt and earthy hops.
Very floral flavours, big distinct lavender notes. Crazily prominent lavender! Also some clean malt followed by an assertive bitterness. A bit astringent.
Body feels thick.

Appearance is kinda gross - rich urine colour. Aroma is mild fruit; citrusy sweetness. Taste is mild hops, fruit and bitterness. Very well balanced. Finish is best thing about it - clean with a mild bite and sweetness. Very good IPA.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2014 Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours bright yellow with a thick, white head which sits atop and lasts the duration. Nose is sweet citric hoppage, caramel, grapefruit. Quite easy going and balanced. Taste is much the same. Superb balance. Good stuff

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Beers of Europe, King’s Lynn
Hazy deep blond color with medium sized head. Wonderful aroma, full of citrusy hops and with a typical English, earthy touch, and sweat. The mouthfeel is very lean, and dry; elegant toffee flavor, light; strong bitterness, expected, with citrusy notes, orange peel, and light papery end; long final. No caramel and no residual sweetness. The hopping seems more complex than just Citra, maybe because of the yeast.
Excellent American IPA, very clean but still with a British touch.
